Because the intentional hyping of this song is based around the belief that Jay Z (and not Angela Winbush

The producers did their own version and sampled Imaginary Playmates.
If anything, she saying Jay gave her the "nod" for the homage and plus she could use that to take shots at Nikki Minaj in the process.
In other words, they just using semantics for the intended affect: Nikki HATES Jay.
