I actually heard GOOD things.

I think we gotta grade EVERYTHING on a curve that didn't get PROMOTED heavy PRE STRIKE ( I KNOW YOU HATE THAT DEFENSE BUT IT IS REAL)

I know folk who were willing ot buy Barbie and Oppenheimer tix after the TRAILER hell for some even BEFORE the trailers dropped.

Again I GET the strike effect specifically for THIS turtle movie because a TON of promotional (kid) stuff got CANCELLED that I think would have helped it.

but still I thought with the UNIQUE animation similar to Spiderverse i would be a BIG HIT.

We have a large enough sample size to see a pattern of major changes to IPs fucking up the numbers. With these movies, have to start with fans and work out from there. In the modern era, they just refuse to do that though. Don't know why. I'll check it out with an open mind much like I did flash.

Shit, Meg 2(a joke of a film) didn't have much promotion and is at $256 million worldwide compared to this at $94 million and Meg 2 didn't have heavy promotion prestrike. More people were talking about TMNT with frumpy April(not in a good way though). Both of these lose money though.

TMNT is much more recognizeable IP than Meg. TMNT movie from 2014 did almost $500 million when ticket prices were a lot lower, so these 23 numbers are BAD. Even if this did $500 million, it would mean it did so on fewer tickets. Always keep that in mind when looking at numbers since inflation ran out of control.

Yeah, but a number of us use it in reverse though. If the critics like it, we are weary. Like I said, how in theeeeee fuck did they not review Dave Chapelle? And we already seen Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Amazon, and others fixing reviews to make shows/movies that fans say suck(and ratings/ ticket says show too) get higher ratings.

The alleged 'review bombing' bullshit. But why isn't review bombing when there are obvious paid-for positive reviews?

I hate how they're copying spider verse art direction. It's a trend now I've seen Netflix movies using this style. I don't like the gen z voice actors either they sound weird especially Donatello. Is a comedy so if I do decide to check this out I have to keep that in mind. The 2012 Nickelodeon TMNT show is the best version of the turtles imo.
