New in Capitalism: Stop Hiring Humans

Universal Basic Income…

Exactly. It's the only logical solution. And it's simple. But American's don't even think they deserve health care and education so convincing them somehow that due to the technological advances in society you don't need to work as much is a stretch.

Another option that may shorten the runway is cutting the workweek back to 20hours but keeping pay the same pay. But that's only going help up to a 50% work reduction.

Good points.

And too take it fully extreme.

America adopts an economy that is an exact copy of the economy in “Star Trek”.

There is no economy in ST, it’s based on a merit system on what you accomplish in your life.

Fundamentally it works for me. a total lifetime contribution a citizen has to make after that you get automatic retirement. If every American knew they just needed 20,000 work hours over their entire life. Or some other contribution that satisfies your contribution to society. You are no longer working because you have to.

I also think they will eventually implement "Universal Basic Income"
To be honest, it should be obvious thats the route the government will be forced to take

This is how it will go down:
Every year we will see these companies replacing humans with robots
Hundreds of thousands at a time each year
So I'll probably say (roughly) by 2035 , in 10 years...
AI & robotic technology should be good enough where most peoples jobs are already replaced

The thing that everyone is not taking into account is that
Also, roughly in about 10 years..... Social Security will be running out soon
Especially since there will be millions of people not contributing to the pool to keep it going
Universal Basic Income == Social Security (except they will just expand it out for everyone, instead of just for retired citizens)

And also, they will be forced to implement U.B.I.
Because if not... there will be a TON of crime going on (looting stealing, rapes, murders, etc, etc)
