Exactly. It's the only logical solution. And it's simple. But American's don't even think they deserve health care and education so convincing them somehow that due to the technological advances in society you don't need to work as much is a stretch.
Another option that may shorten the runway is cutting the workweek back to 20hours but keeping pay the same pay. But that's only going help up to a 50% work reduction.
I also think they will eventually implement "Universal Basic Income"
To be honest, it should be obvious thats the route the government will be forced to take
This is how it will go down:
Every year we will see these companies replacing humans with robots
Hundreds of thousands at a time each year
So I'll probably say (roughly) by 2035 , in 10 years...
AI & robotic technology should be good enough where most peoples jobs are already replaced
The thing that everyone is not taking into account is that
Also, roughly in about 10 years..... Social Security will be running out soon
Especially since there will be millions of people not contributing to the pool to keep it going
Universal Basic Income == Social Security (except they will just expand it out for everyone, instead of just for retired citizens)
And also, they will be forced to implement U.B.I.
Because if not... there will be a TON of crime going on (looting stealing, rapes, murders, etc, etc)
