Music News: Pusha T - Notorious B.I.G. Was the Greatest Rapper Who's Ever Lived

@Day_Carver @REDLINE @TheFuser

I actually 95% agree with Rob on his entire take. Especially the idea that Travis just may be completely oblivious

That's not giving him a pass... just acknowledging he ain't really hip hop like that and we should treat him accordingly

Definitely something to consider. A lot of these guys weren't raised witht he codes. I can rock with that for the whole not giving Pharrell a heads up about the Drake verse. But telling the DJ to play LIKE THAT when Drake is supposed to be your man's is weird af.

^^^^

He not real and apparently never wanted or claimed to be. And seems he just wanted acceptance from his idols. He sounds misguided

Again NO EXCUSES just understanding

He honestly probably didn't understand the bars or thought all this is soap opera. Which to be fair? Is understandable.

But what makes it difficult to defend like you said he is a HABITUAL LINE STEPPER.

So the meltdown didn't have drake verse on it? The like that record didn't have Kendrick?

It was ALWAYS just a coincidence?

Yeah okay.

Now we clear.

So if it ever happens again? They all allowed to crash out on you. Cool?

Travis should thank Push. Cause it should never happen again because of all this.

Yuuuck indeed.

Ok see I was thinking that those bars were for Kanye so my bad on that! Yea im not buying that Travis didnt know or understand what Drake was saying on any of his records! and I agree with o boy; speak to your mans and say naw dog you cant spit that on my album! and his other thoughts were valid too!! I dont think Travis should respond though...

You dont have to be raised with codes to understand when someone is going at someone( you supposed to be cool with) on your album; its either you neutral or you not...

Yup.

I agree with you I'm deliberately trying very hard to give Travis some grace but he gonna have to admit he also not smart.

Travis should NOT respond

BUT I don't think he should just let this stand as his character definition that ain't good.

You CANNOT let a man call you a whore monkey in Rolling Stone magazine.

He need to do SOMETHING I just don't know what exactly

Well dam see I didnt know Pusha called him that; he gotta respond then; but he should probably do it in a interview; not on a record! and yea whomever buddy talking to was trying to cover for Travis period; and Im not mad at Travis staying neutral or trying to; but if you gonna be neutral then be neutral my nigga...

Push called that man a whore and a dancing monkey and a traitor.

That's tough to just LET GO

Especially if you claim hip hop

Call Cyhi and just throw out a few subs and be done with it

Lyrically he always kills it. He beats on those albums are what cost em. Similar to Jadakiss and Redman—whack ass Tracks with fire bars.
That's crazy you said that.
I've felt that on nearly every Clipse/ Re-Up Gang/ Pusha album. Which is kinda nuts cause most said production is Neptunes joints.

Maybe having too many Neptunes beats back to back isn't the best thing for building a solid album.

Or he need to cash app 100k and ill be his public relations manager :giggle:

Bro...in all seriousness?

I don't want to get too deep but if these guys had real OGs? Real A&R? Real friends?

They ALL wouldn't be in this mess.

Imagine if Kanye had a real support circle who made sure he stuck to therapy and medication?

Or someone could have Pharrell and Chad go see a mediator first?

If someone told Drake to REALLY listen to that phone call to keep family out of it?

If someone told Cole call Kendrick don't respond first?

If Travis told Drake don't diss people on our records together?

If Travis called Pharrell to apologize?

If Push didn't pick up OTHER PEOPLE BEEF like he did for Pharrell and Kanye?

Very simple grown folk sh*t

But we as fellow black men don't see each other as humans either.

1000000000% agreed!!!!

And you can see the difference in movements between those guys and kdot! That’s why there is no big 3…

Much respect to k dot (very LeBron with his tight circle of family and friends)

But yall better be careful making that guy hip hop Jesus. I luv him too but he human. When and if he has a serious slip up be prepared. Because the OTHERSIDE will not be forgiving at all.

Let's be sure to give EVERYONE some breathing room now so nobody suffocates later.

Very valid point

But then we wouldn’t have the music (good music) we got
Music is so much “what if” it’s crazy
But like someone said there’s levels to this and there’sa difference of who needs to make music And keep an image and those who make music (dmx,c murder, etc) while still being in the streets saying fuck your image

We as an audience need to a lot of responsibility too. We support the fuckery then act all surprised appalled judgemental and holier than thou when it ends badly.

I disagree that all this gave us "good music"

Most diss tracks are forgettable and the entire genre of drill (mostly based on beef) has lead to mostly death and negative press.

And TRUST i hear everything your saying your not wrong.

I just feel like we are going backward...

We claim to have learned from Pac and Biggie. But it's actually worse now and these corporations are profiting. And we can't blame Vibe and the news like before.

Because the public solution? The so called culture? Let's make it worser with podcasts and YouTube reaction videos so we can profit too.

I think PAC and Big were sacrificial lambs
We’re so desensitized now that garbage is the norm
But playing devil’s advocate, I think the competition brings out the best in some rappers

He ain’t Jesus and he ain’t without fault; but I can appreciate the majority of his actions and movements!

He is the Derek Jeter of hip hop right now. He is the example most show follow.

That being said I don't need a bunch of wannabe K Dot clones. But what APPEARS to be his integrity is needed right now on AL levels

not JUST ARTISTS.

In these boardrooms and youtube pages and social media and media also.

* lets also be clear it aint like he the ONLY dude out here with apparent morals, we have a lot of stand up people in hip hop. But the PUBLIC don't really want that.

I think what you are saying are multiple of things happening and sometimes we combine them into just one thing going on…

Yes I feel ya. I’m speaking more to his movements in music and trying to help the culture and hip hop; as opposed to his personal life! Now it seems he’s solid in his personal life but shit he’s said himself he struggles with shit; so again he ain’t without fault and he ain’t the only one! He’s just the biggest hip hop artist right now and the corporations are actually supporting him! Which is good for us because he represents blackness and culture!! And that’s enough for me…

That's the world now. And I believe its deliberate. And hip hop is not except. We have elected officials getting assassinated and it barely makes 2 news cycles. But Pusha dissing Travis is leading social media. Blake Lively and Taylor Swift is leading social media.

Slick Rick and Memphis Bleek and Lil Wayne all dropped albums back to back. THAT should be leading the hip hop conversation for OUR demographic.

Not beef sh*t.

People love to be entertained no matter how stupid and irrelevant the entertainment is…

Morning truth bars.

Which is FINE. Ain't never gonna change.

But there used to be more BALANCE and recognition that those things WERE frivolous and not to be taken seriously they were time wasters

And when it was grown up time? It was grown up time. No one WANTS to be grown up anymore.

We screaming loyalty integrity in criminal enterprises (where it really never existed lets be honest) but no loyalty and integrity in business or government or medicine?

There are more REACTION videos than actually good music or smart honest opinions. Thousands of songs are loaded onto DSPs every day and they are BAD

And streaming is paying out half pennies?

Music Podcasts don't interview musicians? EVERYONE has an opinion? But are completely uneducated and uninformed?

And you get MORE popular the more IGNORANT you appear?

And this beef sh*t just brings the worst out of EVERYONE.

But it is all about ENGAGEMENT now... and nothing else.

In closing?

Ak groomed a white kid on livestream and no one gives a sh*t?

I give up.
