networking

cohasi, I do not have a good answer for you but that is an intelligent question. I have learned a lot here to be honest with you. Business, religion, black history and social issues all from a porn board? Sho nuff.

Seriously, just to point you and me in the right direction. Check out a creative loafing, check out craigslist (under atlanta) and when you go to spots on blackplanet or migente or myspace check out what sites and affiliates those people are involved with.

I don't know where you are from but there was a popular thing called 1st Fridays that was real real real hot and I don't necessarily know its current status but I will look into it myself as well. Better yet, I have done all this babbling, what do you want to network about?

True indeed this is a wonderful site with vast amounts of information.I am located in north atlanta and I am curently working on starting an elderly care agency. This woman i meet down here gave me the idea because she is a home health aide and deals with alot of elderly patients. And all she does is take them to thier doctor's appointments and runs errands with them.So i was thinking I would start the agency and recruit some home health aides and send them out on assignments. And from what i observed out here there are many elderly people that could use this service. So what do you gentlemen think of this idea?Yes, no, maybe so?
I have heard of first fridays and from what i hear it has turned into nothing but a straight party no networking what so ever.Maybe some dudes networking with some broads but thats about it.

cohasi, in my opinion, it is an excellent idea. Baby boomers are beginning to age and not all of them are going to stay with their children. I thought of an idea like this about 5 years ago. They need prescription pick up, medical supplies, in house caretakers. You can make good money especially in the affluent areas of atlanta. Maker sure you have got all liscening, certifications and insurance and you are looking at 70 million baby boomers by at least 2010. I don't know of a site where this information is stuck in hard data. Read Rich Dad's Prophecy and it should give you a good overview of things to come.

good looking out on the opinion slim jones.i am currently working on seeking all the certifications and licensing that i will need.and i am working on the business plan too.that is funny that you mention a rich dad book because i just recieved my copy of rich dad's 10 thing things you should know before quiting your job in the mail today.i guess i will be ordering that one next.did u know that the author of that book and donald trump were having a seminar out here in atlanta soon?for more information you could check the learning annex website.

had to hop in this thread even though im not in the ATL*
just about ANYTHING catering to the elderly has good potential with the shifts in population
not only do you have that baby boomer transition but also keep in mind folks are living longer too. You get a client at 60y/o, they could be your client till they're 90 if you handle business correctly!

Good look BookerTee. Yeah, cohasi, I am familiar with the expo. Don't let me discourage you but I probably won't attend. In my opinion it is a great event for the beginner or seminar celeb enthusiast. Ain't no real REAL information gettin' dropped. I have read every book that Robert Kiyosaki wrote or co-wrote besides retire young retire rich. That is my nigga. His philosiphies have changed my life. I read 'em in order but if you want to know about what is going on NOW, Rich Dad Prophecy's and Who Took My Money? will make you laugh until you start to cry. He is spittin' REAL TALK. But yeah, it is about to be old people everywhere. Homework, homework, homework.
