Resident Evil is one of the biggest video games of all time and has even spawned numerous feature films. Another film in the franchise has officially entered development with Johannes Roberts tapped to write and direct a potential Resident Evil reboot with a new cast. Now news comes that there appears to be a series in development with an unexpected host.

According to Deadline, Netflix will produce a TV series of the Resident Evil game. Not much is currently known about the series, but it seems it will keep the franchises basic premise and it could carry over into film. The series will follow “the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.”

The series is expected to feature many Easter eggs and action sequences known for the franchise. The search is currently on for a show runner to helm the series.

Remake of Resident Evil 2 videogame drops today. Guess Netflix /Capcom taking advantage of that timing.

Just found out it's from the same people that made the films, Constantin films... Pass.
Maybe if they had a showrunner that was involved in the games...

Not excited at all based on the story they are using but I'll watch the first episode at least.

Sounds like a terrible way to adapt Resident Evil. The games are sorta complicated but underneath all of nonsense is just a zombie game.

 I don't even download that shit anymore. Just change the name to wokeflix and be done. Guarantee they push some LGBTXYZ shit into this production or have some 100 pound chick throwing around 200 pound men like they little girls.
Fuck. They gonna take a sip of his formula and beat people's asses.

You don't have to tell me. Resident Evil is the worst film series ever. Incoherent plots, repeated ideas, no continuity, wasted game characters, superhuman protagonist, shaky as all hell fight scenes, forgotten (missing) characters, terrible CGI, horrible dialog, settings nothing like the games after Apocalypse.

The fact that all of those movies were actually supposed to take place in the same universe & timeline shows that paul ws anderson should not touch another movie in his lifetime. He wrote & directed most of the series yet it looks like they were written & directed by different people every time.

So I know Monster Hunter is about to get completely butchered. He'll manage to make Tony Jaa look like shit with the way he films. I'm certain his wife is going to be the main star pulling off gravity defying nonsense while making everyone else around her look incompetent.

I'm only posting this to give those that care the trailer.

Milla Jovovich looks like the universe bends to her will.
