Negro League Baseball History

Playa if you are ever in Kansas City check out the Negro League Museum on 18th and Vine. It is a quality museum that could use a few more visitors.

Could be a worthy investment to encourage young black men to participate in the game during the Bond era.

man good looking on the sites always been a fan of Josh Gibson and the negro leagues most of the guys have very interesting stories about how they made the league and didnt. Good find man!!!

Baseball is virtually an untapped gold mine for Black Americans, just thought i would try to reinerate the fact that we actually had our own league.

I usually get upset when somebody posts Iframes without warnings,
but I'll make an exception for this

Nice info.

If you are in KC get your ass to 18th and Vine but make sure you have your pass in hand because some cats have been taking KC to another level it don't stand for Kansas City it stands for Killa City....

No doubt Run, I was feelin the whole nastolgia thing and figured it would be a good thread to start here, being that we actrually used to have a league, some players were greats and that blacks, as a whole accomplish monumental feats in sports, hell, what a way to revive intrest Black American intrest. With all the inner city kids that swing the broom stick to the ball to see how high or far they can go...Stick Ball!!! We need to regain some that noteriety and salary. I hear some intermediate get paid like 6k a game.

I may print a few t-shirts of players with their stats on the back or something(like a card)...any ideals?

Video games with those players as the protagonists
The entire throwback thing has been done to death,
but it would be nice if it could be done at affordable
prices. Like with Stephon Marbury's line of clothes

Negro League Baseball video game with players from the way back...that would be hot...Black Legends Baseball, learn history and have fun playing...

As you know, Shaq has an affordable line of shoes, some of them sell quite well, as for the adult pairs of shoes, hardly anyone wants to wear them out west. Also, Master P, under the name P Miller put out some shoes, they sell pretty well, he had some patent leather/suede joints called the Blaze, those were cool.

Stephan's whole approach to affordable gear is a plus in the way that it's more affordable to those who will choose to wear his line, applause...

I didn't say they dress the part.... But thats how crazy they are. Looking like they are fresh off the set of Colors.

Every city has those prefab gangsters...

On the base ball tip tho, IMO Black Americans are in perfect position to dominate and being that we have a rich history in the sport, most arenas employ minorities, we are already in the position to reestablish ourselves.
