there used to be useful threads with bgolers kickin info back n forth about side hustles and companies that were hiring. these are a couple places that are either hiring now or have plans to expand soon into other cities/states so check to see if any are in your town. also use google to research the companies
1. uber/lyft
i know a dude that drives for both only on the weekends and he says he averages between $600 and $800 per day. he told me that some dudes he knows bring in as much as $2,000 per week but that's ALL they do is drive for the companies and put in as many as 10 - 12 hours per day.
2. upwork and elance
u can work from home through both sites doing all kinds of jobs. really good coders will make the most dough though. you can charge by the hour or a flat fee. you'll also work as an independent contractor. only drawback is you're biding for projects against people from other countries all over the world and sometimes dudes will lowball you. but the more specialized the work the less that happens and you'll pretty much get what you want.
3. fiverr
the hook here is people pay you $5 to do just about anything basic, but you upsell additional services and charge whatever you want basically for that service. so if you have a google or yelp account and someone posts an ad that goes 'i need reviews for my business' then they'll pay you $5 to type a few words about their business. will take you less than two minutes to do it and that's just one example. you keep either $3 or $4 out of the five (can't remember which right now)
4. instacart
this is probably one of the most popular start ups around right now. basically the way it works is you go grocery shopping for people and deliver the bags to 'um. the company gives you a pre paid visa card and you use their money to do all the shopping. instacart also has different pay scales for different cities you choose to work in, with some low traffic cities having a $10 per hour base + tips + commission per item purchased by the customer. it's good for both full time and part time work. everybody from students to seniors to single moms to recently laid off dads are working for the company. you set your own hours and pick the cities you wanna work in but this type of job is really best for self starters cause you won't have a manager per se and you use their app to coordinate everything. so if you ain't the kinda dude that's good at self management then don't even do it. some dudes have complained about 'loneliness' and 'isolation' since all they do is go from grocery store to grocery store and deliver items to customers. nobody to sit next to at work and no break room to hang out in.
5. task rabbit
another popular site that let's you set your own hours and pay rate. they have all kinds of jobs available. everything from waiting in line for a mutha fuka to moving help to putting together ikea furniture. i ain't playing. there's a brother out in san francisco and all he does is put together ikea furniture but he's ALWAYS booked with nothing but positive reviews. i went to the company's twitter account just to research it and saw retweet from a lady that was talking about how happy and thankful she was and posted a link to his site. i clicked the link and saw how dude was just cleaning up putting ikea sheit together. everything from small drawers to tv stands to bed frames. went to another page and this one young white girl was charging over $25 an hour to either clean people's rooms/bathrooms, wash and iron clothes and other small home cleaning sheit. sounded like she was booked all the time too cause her reviews were all good and people sounding off about how they either would or already do rehire her on the regular.

. A degree in Chemistry/STEM is pretty valuable and if this person is on some I want 100K out the gate shit they need a reality check not a job. I was thinking that they got advanced degrees outside of STEM.
