NBA Summer Leagues

I am thouroughly enjoying the Summer League games.....
the games are way more "on the level" than regular season
games.

No "star" calls. No bullshit makeup calls, no "wily" veterans
slowing the game down with faggotry and fuckery. No flops,
no flops, NO FLOPS.......no little cats running into the lane
falling down just to get FTs. No faggot 7 footers shooting
20 footers but no post moves

Just cats ballin'. Straight ballin'. Even though cats like Amare
or Artest occasionally come in and the refs all of a sudden
will call bullshit, for the most part, the games are well called
The action is non-stop, even though the announcers still talk
too fucking much, you can still hear what they are saying on
the court if you listen close enough (I use headphones)

Having a better time watching this, than those phony assed
playoffs....a much better time watching. I still love this game

until the playoffs start

Havent been able to keep up with it much but we have a team in the Vegas summer league that is doing pretty well.

What games have been coming on TV and what channel?

I see Randy Foye has been scoring the ball very well. Any other rookies looking good?

Well, the Knicks are playing. So I'm watching games on MSG
or Madison Square Garden's network. But I bet whatever the network
is in your town will air a few games. I haven't seen any Net games
yet.

I've seen only bits and pieces, but the Knicks have already played
Cleveland, Detroit, Sacremento and Phoenix. Ron Artest played and
has lost some weight. He actually did not hack anyone in the game
(at least not too hard)

Cranrab asked me about the Knicks rookie from South Carolina. Well
I was watching and wondering who this kid was. I figured he was a
FA pickup. But it was the dude himself....

Good looking rookie. He's a slasher. Not afraid to go to the hoop.
No (consistent) outside shot. But he is definitely a scorer. And
he is very athletic. He will get after the ball in the paint. I like
him.

Haven't seen much of Mardy Collins yet. But I like the atmosphere
of the Knicksd so far. Isiah has been courtside at every game

Detroit looked terrible. I did notice this African kid they drafted.
Dude is 7'1" and 195 lbs. Talk about light in the ass. But he reminds
me a little of KG on the defensive side of the ball

The summer leagues in the NBA is like the early preseason weeks in the NFL.....You get to see a lot of rookies playing....Cool with me b/c I watch college sports more than pro so I'm familiar with most of the prospects.

Balkman has a lot of pressure on him to come through for NY...Boone and Shannon Brown were better college players than he was in most people's eyes. Hope he does well in the season.

Detroit will be in shambles this upcoming year. As significant as Sheed was to get them the title a couple years ago, losing Ben will make them drop down to the 4th best team in the conference. They will have no interior defense and it'll be interesting to see who will be crashing the boards for them.

I have to disagree. I believe there is absolutely no pressure on
Balkman at all. Because there is absolutely no expectations on
him and the ENTIRE NY/NJ area has NO faith in anything that
Isiah Thomas does.....

The most pressure will be on Thomas himself. And that's exactly
what he wants. To put the pressure on himself so he can take it
OFF the players...Hopefully, the media will cooperate and keep
trashing him the way they have almost since day one

That way, when the Knicks start kicking good teams in the ass,
they will have to eat their fucking words.......

and I hope they choke on them. NY media is as bad as ESPN
Bunch of fucking YES! men
