NBA News: Jeremy Lin Thinks Race Makes Him A Target On The Court

2013 Stats:

13.2 Points
6.1 Assist
1.7 Steals
2.9 TO
44% FG

3rd Team in 3 Years and Can't Guard a Bag of Lunch = VERY Average
He's not even in the top 20 in my book. so he's a lower tier Guard

SMH.. He a top ten pg ... Most of those stats were accumalated with a bunch of bench players with Stat and Melo out. As a matter of fact the knicks dont make the playoffs if he doesnt go on that run. Yall mustve forgot Kobe couldnt stop Linsanity.. Everyone wants to talk about the Heat game and blame Lin but not his coach who shortly thereafter resigned and now coaches a team Phil Jackson could win a championship with and they will not make the playoffs. We are discriminated against in every field and cuz pg was so hard for us to take over from cacs we aint tryin to give it up to Lin.. Look up Nash before he went to Dallas and tell me Lin is that far off

Kobe's defense has been lambasted on BGOL on almost a weekly basis...

...so that's not exactly saying much.

No fault of his own he was hyped up

He avg 15 and 9 at Harvard... Cooked kimba Walker and uconn for 30

Summer league when he was on Dallas cooked John Wall... The kid is no fluke

He just went out there and played his game.. When his number was called he took advantage of the opportunity.... Avg players don't go on stretches he went on

Everyone only started paying attention when he dropped 30+ on the Lakers

He single handily saved the Knicks season last yr...

The kid earned his spot

he isn't an average player but he's complaining about some shit that happens to A LOT OF PEOPLE OF ALL RACES and not just him.
like i said, he had no hype. there are plenty of games where sometimes a player beasts on someone from a higher conference.. those kids don't get drafted EITHER.

he has a target NOW because of the money and the talent... the same target that his teammate harden has now as well.

it ain't a race thing, its a hype thing.

he got his opportunity and took advantage... and at the same time i doubt if he was black when he took over for the knicks that the hype machine would have been behind him as much as it was...

i mean just a few years ago the same shit from high school to college happened to steph curry... no acc school none of that recruited him.

he had to go to the tournament 2 years and almost go to the final four to get recognition.
if lin had led harvard to the tourney and deep he would have been drafted off the strength of that ALONE.

the tourney is where all the unknowns make their money or get their draft shine.
happens every year

He didn't get any scholarship offers cuz he was Asian(when any black... or WHITE player for that matter doing what he did would have got a scholarship SOMEWHERE) but he is getting the hype because he is Asian and proved to be decent NBA player so yeah it does go both was

Exactly. People don't even realize the ability to hype him was because of bias against "regular" size Asians hooping. He did benefit from it, but the shock factor showed the bias he dealt with his whole career.
