There was a third tie-in issue to Marvel Comic’s Curse of the Mutants this week. “Namor: The First Mutant” issue #1 tells of Namor’s special contribution to the X-Men’s fight against the vampires.

I don’t want to have any spoilers here, but in “Royal Blood, Part One” Namor is sent on a mission that only he can complete. He must retrieve an object from the ocean depths, and it also turns out to be in a special box that only an Atlantean king can open. However, the X-Men are not the only ones who are after this item, and Namor realizes too late that it is a trap. The issue ends with the ocean dwelling vampires, known as Aqueos, declaring war on all Atlanteans.

In my Comic Book Guy voice...

This Mutants vs. Vampires shit is one of the most stupidest comic events EVER!

It's just beyond silly and makes no DAMN sense.

I thought Apocolypse was the first mutant :hmm:

The First PUBLISHED Mutant.

He was a mutant in hiding/shadows....Namor came with billboards and collector-able key chains.

And actually the first mutant in Marvel comics was...

Arlok, Astron, Daina, Kronos/Chronos/Chronus, Master Elo, Oceanus, Uranos because there were all born at the same time.

If I'm mistaken then it's one of the first deviants...but I remember reading a Eternal books that stated these were the FIRST mutants.

Eternals and Deviants turned out to be experiments by the celestials.

Marvel has not done it yet but there was talk that Romulus was going to be the first mutant..aka the first deviant...Not sure.

A mutant is person born with an ability that is outside the norm...being alien has nothing to do with.

See Warlock.

Ariel the teleporter is also an alien mutant.
