My OFFICIAL Affiliate Marketing Resource Thread

BigATLslim

Rising Star
BGOL Investor
What up, fam? This is long overdue. I am going to drop as much knowledge as I can in this thread on all the ways that affiliate marketing can build streams of income for you.

I told myself I was going to do this for the family at the beginning of the year. I have already wasted two and a half months and I am not wasting the last half of this one.

I am going to share my experiences and my resources. I will be researching things that are free to all but that you may not have time to find on your own. I would like to call on and lean on the part of the fam that loves to upload "hot" information.

You are more than welcome to contribute to this thread.

First up, the industry "bible" for affiliate marketers that you guys in affiliate marketing have probably never heard of: Revenue They offer a print magazine that hits the newsstands bi-monthly and a newsletter you can receive in your email. This is a phenomenal resource either way.

Research that, because research is the difference between the winners and the losers in this game, and I'll be back.

COLIN IS IN FULL EFFECT!:hmm::lol:

Alright, I appreciate the fam's swift and prompt contributions. I am attempting to keep this as orderly as possible but if this thread has a learn as you go feel, it will mimic the ups and downs as you try to master this market.

The majority of BGOL, at least in my opinion, appears to very intelligent when it comes to finding out new ways to make money.

However, for those that just need a raw introduction, let's define affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is an agreement between two sites in which the affiliate agrees to feature content or an ad designed to drive traffic to another site. In return, the affiliate earns a commission for referring clicks, leads or sales to a merchant.

This is very textbook but the bottom line is you are a broker, a middle man, a hustler. You want to attach said product/service that you are promoting to said target market and you want your cut. It is simple as that. The best way to learn who does this and why they do it, is to go where people who do this for a living hang out. Let's go!

Affiliate marketing changes every time the sun rises and sets and it is worth it to sign up for at least one month to one of these forums to see if you have the nuts and the guts for this hyper competitive profession and get that online money!

FEE FORUMS

Stack That Money

Bottom line, if you are already making money in affiliate marketing and you want to supercharge your growth to take it to the next level, this forum is for you!

Stackman, Mr. Green, and BBrock are real people who have dominated several verticals and make thousands of dollars a month, even a day!

In this community, you are surrounded by affiliate veterans, network owners, advertisers, and lead brokers.

IM Grind

IM Grind is run by Ryan & Ruck. These two guys are BOSS's in internet marketing. They had the same idea and passion that the creators of Stack that Money have: provide exclusive content to individuals who are serious about making money in affiliate marketing.

They are very selective about who they allow into their program, and although I am not a member, if accepted it is well worth the bread. I learned that from colleagues in alternate forums that I have been a part of for years!

Aff Playbook

Aff Playbook touts itself as the #1 Affiliate Marketing Forum. Although this is debatable, it is no question that this paid forum has been a go to forum for affiliate marketers that are serious about making money!

It's run by a gentleman by the name of David Ford who was an IT guy 10 years ago, didn't like his job, tried affiliate marketing, and within a year he had tripled his current salary.

Once he did that, he decided to open up this forum to attract serious affiliate marketers who are interested in making real money by learning from actual experts.

Warrior Forum

If you have not heard of Warrior Forum by now, affiliate marketing may not be for you!

It is only the most popular affiliate marketing hangout for newbies and beginners that have tasted a little bit of success, to hawk their "wares" or their programs.

The forum itself is free to join. However, the section I have listed explains the fees necessary to list your offers or affiliate program in a particular section of the forum.

Hey, so you are not sure if affiliate marketing is for you, or just want to kick the tires for all the free information you can until you pull the trigger? Well, these following forums are for you!

FREE FORUMS

PerformanceIN

Warning: This affiliate forum is very "suit & tie". I attempted to sign up a couple of weeks ago and they emailed me back and said my criteria did not fit their forum and that my membership to the forum would not be accepted.:hmm::lol:

However, my misfortune may be another members cash cow. Definitely check these guys out. They are really geared towards the corporate, or professional side, of affiliate marketing so that you can get the perspective of the machine that comes up with the affiliate programs and offers!

Wicked Fire

In my opinion, this is as dope as it gets when it comes to a free affiliate marketing forum. This is a very testosterone filled forum!

They talk sh!t, the members are deservedly arrogant, and the content is relevant.

I have only been a member for a month or so, but joining affiliate marketing communities is just like riding a bike, once you have logged on to one, you know how to operate in all of them.

Bookmark this one for sure. It fits the BGOL personality quite well!

ABestWeb

I have been a member of ABestWeb for over a half dozen years. This is one of the most trusted and respected FREE affiliate communities on the web. From my experience, they have the best information out there, bar none. However, it comes at a price.

This community is very arrogant, very high brow, and you will fight to gain their respect. I was banned from this community at one point because I spent too much time socializing in off topic threads instead of always talking affiliate marketing.

Despite my temporary misfortune, I do not want to deprive the family of one of the most elite FREE affiliate marketing information spots on the web!

Affiliorama

For me, this is probably one of the most relaxed affiliate forum environments.

It starts you out withe the definition of affiliate marketing all the way to telling you how to make money in this space.

They offer their own lessons, marketing tools, blog content, and products!

Just get a username and password together and start checking out what they have to offer!

5 Star Affiliate Marketing Forums

I have known about this forum longer than the previous three that I just listed. However, I just signed up this year. When you are a part of dozens of communities, you just get lost some time. This happened to be that casualty of war. This forum is actually attached to an affiliate marketing house that has a bundle of affiliate programs. The people are friendly and helpful.

Associate Programs

The reason I like this site is sentimental. It is one of the very first I signed up for. Traffic is low to moderate, there are so many sites that offer tools and freebies that are invaluable and they also give great, great reviews on products.

I believe time has passed this forum buy, but the guy who runs it is in Australia. Just think about that, you can do business with someone or communicate with someone or learn from someone that you have never met, nor visited their country.

Just my wooden nickel.

Next up, I will try to get into the different types of affiliate marketing. Ya'll chew on a lil' fat with this post 'til I get back.

Fam, now that you know all of the different ways to make money, trends in the industry, and what niches you have targeted, now it is time to "get to the money" as they say, and that means affiliate networks!

The top affiliate networks house some of the largest corporations affiliate programs. They are the broker between the companies that make the product or service and the public. In between is you, siphoning out as much profit as you know how, while feeding your niche what it wants.

This will be a "top" list. This means, at any given time, the order may change depending on who the leader in the industry is. Let's go!

Linkshare
For a long, long time the #2 network on this list was undisputably in the number one spot. However, things change. Linkshare has been in the game for quite some time, was eying top spot about a half a decade ago, focused on electronic retail and smaller merchants and took it!

Since their inception, their offerings have expanded and they probably have something for you to offer your audience. They really prefer you to be established before joining but if you can make your case, you are in.

I gave them the top spot as well, because CJ has been steadily decreasing the payout percentage to affiliates and have had interruption in payments as recent as last month.

Commission Junction
One of the best known and largest affiliate networks. They are disputably #1 in many affiliate marketers minds, but they have to right their relationship with many affiliates before they are undisputed again.

Either way, specify a blog, website, social network page, or that you are a search marketer and you should gain guaranteed affiliate status.

Worth keeping in the fold, but do your homework on payouts. They may be higher for the same merchant in another spot.

ShareASale
It is not just hype. This network is probably the most honest and transparent network in all of affiliate marketing! They are that one bright spot in an industry marred with sharks, snakes, and scandals. If you play above board, and want your affiliate network to do the same, this is your spot.

To be accepted fastest, it is best to have your own webspace where your email address ends in that domain.

AvantLink
Alright, the new kids on the block and they aren't bashful about changing the game. I look at these guys as a sleeker, more arrogant ShareASale. They are sexy and robust, but push integrity in honesty in their platform.

They are off to an AMAZING start, but it is too early to tell if they will crack the Top 5 or run out of steam at the end of the day.

Although, I have not personally signed up with them (yet), I have enough inside information from fellow affiliates in the industry who say if you are serious about protecting your affiliate earnings, you should check these guys out!

LinkConnector
I believe I remember seeing these guys along my journey, but I just can't remember when.

They focus on Top 500 retailers and smaller more niche merchants, that may work out for the demographic on this board.

This is a good time to remind everyone, it costs nothing to sign up and look around. You can always decide whether it is for you or not by it not costing you a red cent to do your due diligence.

FAM, DAMN! When that 9 to 5 calls, it can take you out of the game, ya feel me? That is exactly why I made this thread. The main reason it was a gap in my posting is that the job is on fire right now. And with the market we are in, I need to keep that gravy train going until the internet calls me to my true home.

Anyway, you did not come in here to here me complain. You came in because you want to know where you can find affiliate programs in hot niches that can still make you money. We already discussed the big four affiliate networks. Now, I am going to give you two quality affiliate networks that has solid offerings as well but just may not be the size of the Big Four.

EDIT: The two paragraphs above this post are obsolete, yeah, the game changed THAT fast...like THAT!

So, let's get right to it. In this post, I will now breakdown the affiliate network that is digital heavy, the remainder that are digital only, and foreign affiliate networks for the international fam.

Amazon
Although this affiliate, associates as they call it, community has paltry commission payouts by industry standard, they are a crowd favorite for the sheer volume that they drive to their digital and physical offerings. I am an amazon associate and see that there IS a lot of promise, but the administration time to build a solid campaign can be harrowing but for those with internet real estate, it may well be worth the time investment.

Clickbank
After a face lift that I personally felt was a half decade too late, Clickbank finally tried to legitamize itself with savvy affiliate marketers by offering a new gui, slightly better offerings, and more orignal advice on their main site. Although it still remains to be seen if this help current affiliates or attract more good ones, I am impressed enough to give them a try as I look to give affiliate marketing a more intelligent go this time around!

oneNetworkDirect
There is no secret what this affiliate network is about. It is ALL things software. If you have a website, blog or newsletter that has anything to do with software, it would be in your best interest to join this network. I am not that fond of software selling but it is a guaranteed money maker and these guys are top notch.

PayDotCom
This digital network is similar to Clickbank in that it offers digital products. It differs in that it is not as well known as Clickbank, has better stat tracking, and affiliates can promote physical products if they so choose. Personally, my products convert better here than Clickbank, but they are due for a facelift as well!

CANADA
RevenueWire

These guys are like the ShareaSale of the digital networks: progressive, robust, sustainable, and ethical. although not located in the United States, they are in on the North American continent out of British Colombia.

They have great global and alternative offerings when it comes to digital, so if you are from Canada or abroad, or in American and understand how to market abroad, it would be a good idea to sign up with these guys because they are fresh, award winning and appear to know what they are doing!

AdCommunal
According to trusted sources, they are best affiliate network in the AdCanadian internet marketing industry today.

BRITAIN
Affiliate Window
These guys are based out of Great Britain, won the award for best CPS in 2012 and are looking to make a digital footprint here in the states. I would recommend UK'ers to jump on in and affiliates here in the U.S. to keep their eye on any low hanging affiliate opportunities.

Web Gains
This is another group out of the UK that is touted as a strong contender for the British market. I don't know much about these guys, but they did make top affiliate network lists this past year. Stay tuned...

SWEDEN
Tradedoubler
Tradedoubler was the first...the first affiliate marketing company out of Europe in 1999. You will want to check out the guys that helped start it all and see how they measure up against the new kids on the block!

I don't think I can add to that.

Check them out!

EUROPE
Avangate
These guys are another award winning network out of Europe. They are completely digital, with a strong focus on software and Saas.

Zanox
Anytime someone is the biggest, you at least should check them out, and that is what these guys are in Europe. I like this for the international market because everything is so U.S. centric and this site has clean lines, great content, and looks like it can be trusted by native Europeans and foreigners alike.

Give it a whirl!
Well, fam, chew on that fat to start your Monday. I am going to dig a little deeper into where to find more programs in the next post.

WHEW, I almost let it be a month. Not good for business. I hope the fam is doing alright. My current gig has moved more towards a pay per performance situation so now I have to get online hustle GOING or it's lights out. I am going to lace you with the remainder of my affiliate directories so you guys have choices.

EDIT: Man, I let this thread get away from me...

Alright...that's enough of focusing on the past! This post is going to be dedicated to an extensive listing of affiliate directories, large and small. If you have a website or a blog, then there from now on in this thread, you will be able to find anything and everything to promote.

Stay marketing, my friends.

So how does adult sites factor into afiliate marketing? Are the ones listed above compatible with adult content on the website??

Not sure I understand your question. As an affiliate, you market for that product. So you sell the adult site as in a sign up and you get guap. There are many ways to get people to sign up, just gotta be creative as people have no loot today or whatnot or everyone's seen it b4 so they don't wanna join another sex site...

But you can always find pigeons every single day...

Good stuff. I am interested in started a dating site and found that most of those are based on affiliate marketing.

Thanks donwuan. I meant to big up you for your adult affiliate additions. I somehow forgot all about those. Very lucrative AND very competitive.

So how does adult sites factor into afiliate marketing? Are the ones listed above compatible with adult content on the website??

Affiliate marketing is anything you sell/promote for another entity to get money. It can be ANY product or service and affiliate marketing works.

What I love about it so much is that I had not actively promoted any products over the last 4 months. I went and checked some of my affiliate accounts and I got checks coming this month for work I did months ago.

Now, imagine if you just stay CONSISTENT after figuring out your niche. An extra four figures a month at the pc, which you are already one, is no slouch for pressing some keys.

good stuff...

hey i jus started my own website...

and i don't know ish about html...

i was wondering if some of y'all can take a look at it..and gimme a few pointers...

Kewl idea for a site, but on the real I would take alot of the Clickbank stuff off there and do alot more CPA offers from Commission Junction. See to convert buyers, sales pages need to be convincing, and CJ has alot of great offers and landing pages.

Now as for your site ranking? It's at 18mil bro, you need to get some SEO going on your site and maybe get some RSS feeds going on there feeding constant new info to the page daily...

Let me add to this thread also if you guys want to search for offers and companies for what offers they have look at
http://cpaaddict.com

Also some of networks you mentioned here are kewl but should look at some of the heavier networks that deal with heavy earners.

I know guys making 10-20k a day by doing alot of health offers which alot get because you can offer free trials to whatever. Acai, diet pills, tooth whitening and things of that nature.

Look at MarketHealth.com, Ads4Dough.com and MarketLeverage.com along with another heavy network called Copeac.com

I am also with Commission Junction and make good money with them.

Mixd Inkz, that's the way to come into the thread and just keep dropping knowledge. I have not heard of a couple of these and I know I need to add them to my arsenal.

Just giving the fam an update. I am f*cking with Clickbank heavy again, as a stream. I was approaching it as a primary source of income, and for me, that was the wrong approach. I am pushing my efforts online... and off.

In addition, I have started a blog that I will drop in this thread shortly that will basically follow me and a personal issue I have dealt with for the majority of my teenage and adult life that I think a few of the fam could benefit from as well.

It will, in turn, allow me to use many of the resources I have posted in this thread.

Wow, I can't believe this thread is this old.

Ok, 1st, thanks to all for helping others with the knowledge.

Now, after almost 4 whole years of neglecting it, not finding out more about it, and erethang, I've finally come back to the holy grail of amm IM efforts: SEO.

I feel like I'm on the verge of something life-changing, but I won't know yet for a couple more weeks. If it does work, however, I will come back and report what I did, and how much bank I'm pulling in doing it. Also, I will report how I used the very sources right here on BGOL to milk my own cash cow.

You fellas know how you sit and wonder why no one uses the knowledge dropped on here? Heh heh...more to come soon...

Update playa?

First of all, dray, thanks for the bump, fam!

What a difference 2 years makes. I just needed time to peep changes in the game and regain my focus.

That let me know that information was still wanted, but I wasn't on my job.:smh:

Fam, BE SURE to take a look at this thread from the top. I edited every single post that I made with information that is good for the 2014 year!

Affiliate marketing isn't dead, it just went mobile, and we will chop it up about that later!

I updated affiliate networks, affiliate forums, and affiliate directories. All links are working and I will be updating this thread every week without fail.

I will be dropping opportunities here, periodically, that you can promote on your internet space that you own, as well as alternative forums you are apart of, outside of BGOL!

I am going to get money on the internet on my side of the computer screen, how about you?

Alright fam, I have two new definitions: affiliate blog and affiliate aggregrator.

Affiliate blog: a blog or account of all things important happening in and around the affiliate marketing industry.

Affiliate aggregator: a computer software that collects all the information from each and every blog (of relevance) on the internet, into one central location so that it can be easily digested by readers.

The fact that affiliate marketing becomes more and more "mainstream" every day, it would be impossible to sift through all of the information pertaining to having a successful affiliate business. This is where the blogs, and the aggregating of them, comes in.

Now I was going to list an exhaustive list of blogs, but lucky for us, 5 aggregators pretty much have "all that is affiliate marketing":

AffPosts

AffBuzz

AffDaily

Alltop

BloggerScope

Everything you will need to know to get into, build, and/or stay ahead of the curve is here.

Enjoy!:D

I understand that a population of BGOLers are "anti affiliate link".

I don't know if this is innate to African Americans or if there is a faction of people on the internet in general, who just don't trust promoted links.

So, my first focus on a community that looks to give to get, I am introducing the 2 tier affiliate side of the business, which is viewed by the overall community, as a win/win!

Now, I am going to keep it all the way real. If you are looking to make it in affiliate marketing, if you are not in an ever green industry, you may want to build a blog, site, or program around a product/service that is trending.

Right now, what is going to be discussed more than anything else on the internet in 2014 is bitcoin. It is the digital protocol, and currency, that has the ability to disrupt the financial system as we know it.

I am offering an affiliate program that is so fresh and so new, about a service/product that is in its infancy, that if positioned right, you can make a lot of money positioning others with the opportunity to make a lot of money.

So without further ado, I introduce you to the Success Council!

If you are a webmaster or an affiliate of a technology, wealth building, libertarian, sovereignty, or money making site, this program appeals to people who value financial security, wealth building, and a "need to know" mentality.

It allows you to recruit sub-affiliates, so that as they promote, you can share in their success promoting and the hottest item that they will probably be promoting is this: Bitcoin Starter Kit!

Trust me, you WILL see affiliate programs pop up all over the place on how to get started buying and selling bitcoin.

All I am telling you to do is, be the first!

You may now return to your regular scheduled programming!
