I THOUGHT I had every Anita record back in the day and did not know that The Songstress existed. I was looking everywhere for Angel. Then I found out about track 2...can't find a Youtube vid...



Maybe I'll put it up somewhere when I have the time.

Songstress was Anita's first CD after she left Chapter 8, released in 1983. The CD did not do well until Rapture was released. Rapture was such a big hit people wanted more music from Anita. So they then bought Songstress. Rapture literally pulled Songstress into a successful album. I'm glad it did.

Doesn't really matter the thing is just keep popping good music into your changer.

Anita needs a strong comeback. Her last 2 CDs were not very good. I keep hoping she will switch genres and become more of a jazz singer. Unfortunately I hear she was disheartened over the failure of her last to Cds, thankfully she's still touring so there's still hope.
