Fast foward to 0:26. I kind of feel sorry for the grandmother though. :(

I can't really say I have any reaction to this other than :smh: When one has to get to the point where one relies on fake dolls to give not only companionship but love to that is when perhaps one must look deep within because reality it would seem is skewed.

This creeps me out. You'd think if someone wanted a child this bad they would adapt or volunteer somewhere, or teach.

I don't think these people believe that reality is skewed so much as they have given in to the philosophy that money can buy anything- including a fake child that doesn't require food, school clothes, or the heartbreak of back talk or chasing the boyfriend out the house. I actually think that this is one of the finer examples of reality being actualized which makes it a lot more dangerous than a bunch of sick freaks selling silicone Zapf dolls.

if that doesn't SCREAM DSM-IV TR to me I don't know what does

I didn't watch the whole thing...I was done at like 20 seconds

to anyone that watched it....did they touch on these things?
-adoption
-foster care
-babysitting
-becoming a labor doulas
-running programs aimed at kids
-working in the hospital with children
-becoming a health teacher and teaching the class about babies in which you use that Amazing Amy doll as part of your parenting project

well you get my point

can someone summarize the reasons y?

I watched this the other night and at first glance those dolls look entirely too real... I really dont know if i should feel pity for those women or what. I think its sort of odd to take parenting a piece of plastic seriously..
