My advice for my African teams: put all your money in football, and forget everything else.

Let us concentrate in sports where we can actually compete and win.
Track & field and football, that is it. We have meager resources that we
should not be diverting into basketball, volleyball etc; we should all
single mindedly be concentrate on the running and field events. If we
do that we will make a more respectable showing than losing by 70
points. We will never be able to compete in any of these other sports;
they are expensive and require special surfaces and equipment. Let
the rich have them.

Now Nigeria might make some noise in basketball, as they rolled
over everyone at that the African qualifying tournament, but then
the so-called Nigerians are all born in America, have plied the basket
ball in American colleges; the other African teams had no chance,
and many had never seen live ally-hoops, which the Nigerians
repeatedly and mercilessly subjected them to...

That women's team from Senegal spanking got your computers puting huh?
yep...It is a question of going on the path of least resistance,
and football is it. If we use that money to start training our kids,
we could dominate women's football as we do youth football.

Our youth football is apparently really good too. I don't care for football or rugby. So I don't really care like that.

Looking at both of those sports, which one should be called football? This football vs soccer/ football beef has always seemed like a white people beef to me. White folks over here said this is our football. Seems silly as hell.
95% of the world is right, to say nothing of the fact that one
of the two sport hardly plays the ball with feet, where as the
one called football by the 95% is played almost only with
the feet...

Yes, the argument is silly, and Americans should fight a
fitting name for their game

Sometimes you say you are Nigerian, and sometimes you say
you are American... which "our" are you employing in this
moment?

Papa Z, I've never in my life said I was from that shit hole, Nigeria.
I do not know why you have to be hostile to the Republic of Nigeria,
but be that as it may, this then leads me to the next word in your
statement....what kind of "football" are you referring to?

shit i would think tennis if anything..could u imagine a nig with football speed and power playing tennis them cacs wouldn't be able to keep up.. serena and them pops knew the deal and had the vision like these cac bitches ain't gonna have the foot speed and power to keep up with my girls once puberty kick in.. that man deserves an award for his vision and blueprint

I believe American football is far superior to the international alternative.

Soccer ain't football
Have a little Trini nephew who is into soccer over there so I told him that I can beat him in football... He said over there they call soccer football, so I told him you play football the way you play it and I will play it the way I play it... So he was in front of me kicking the ball all fancy like and I said hut one, hut two, hut three, hut hut hut and kindly tackled the shit out of him...

We all laughed and had a good time with it... But I won!!!

I would think West Africans should focus on women's tennis (most of the women are shaped like Serena), so much money that could be funneled back into schools and infrastructure

Soccer ( although they don't have the youth Academies and education to keep the top players away from Europe)

Basketball (Senegal, Benin and the Congo) could have a dominate regional team. Imagine a regional African team that somehow creates a traveling team that could play the US in paid transatlantic exhibitions. The marketing across two cotninents could be insane

And of course track and field.

The issue is that continental Africa refuses to consider becoming one national country.

If they could keep ones ethnic identity, yet form one uniform national entity, no other country would win SHIT over a so called United Africa, and that includes the USA.

It is a question of money, and if you understood the desperate poverty of African
countries, you would know that expensive Americans sports are not an option.
The only sport that we can play is football, and that sport is already well established..
