This is his second C-8 totaled..... 
totaled my very first C5 Corvette and the damage was almost identical except most of my rear hatch was like 40 yards from the car. Approx 70mph in weather that wasn't ideal for the car. Spun around into a telephone pole,, hit drivers door first which spun the car into a tree. Broke neck 3 places, back 4 places, concussion, and when seat belt ripped out of the frame crushed my leftside chest and messed up my lung. Due to the thickness of the frame right by the driver door the car ricocheted off of the pole rather than wrapping around it which was about the only reason I lived. Almost any other car and I'd a been dead on impact. P.S. Sorry about your car.
