MUST READ on "VISTA" before you get screwed

Everytime I see that Apple/Mac commercial with the chubby glasses wearing white guy posing as a Windows operated pc and the dude with the shades posing as the popup confirmation warnings I'll think of how much trouble the Vista OS is gonna be and how eventually most of us will be forced to use it. Even Mac owners. Thanks for the info, Mo
 
i'm using vista as i type this, no problems here, seems faster than XP go check out demonoid if you want to download vista make a partition on your hard drive and try it out first

I just read that thing and man I have no idea what in the world he's talking about. Reduced this, disabled drivers that. Everything I used to run on XP is running fine on Vista. Some programs I need to run as XP but they do run, don't lock up or anything just fine. Vidz play, music plays, downloaded music from the net burns using WMP or whatever else I want to make CD's with. Don't think my hardware is that state of the art but it runs Vista /Aero Glass just fine.

Reminds me a lot about those who said the same thing just before XP was released and some people bitched about not wanting to move from Windows 98.

I can bet he's writing this stuff from an XP box.

Is it perfect? Hell no. Better than XP? It does some things better than XP and feels more solid than XP. Should you upgrade? Not unless you want to. Geeks will because that is the nature of us geeks but there is no real compelling reason that I can see to upgrade to Vista. But it ain't half bad if you like new shit.
