A friend of mine who is not Muslim but had a Muslim last named changed it because she felt her name was a disadvantage to her professional advancement.

Well regardless of how fucked up this is, those polls are actually a good sign. It shows people have become more knowledgeable of the Muslim faith since 2001 (when Bush had the whole country on that boogy man bullshit)... Hopefully, these numbers will improve as time progresses.
