Good post but I would like to know if Craigslist is behind this or someone else
As far as I know it's run by someone else. There have been other sites that do the same thing but when Craiglist finds these sites, they usually shut them down. I don't think they want to turn Craigslist into a national/ international clasifieds site since that starts to compete with ebay in some ways. They want it to continue to be the #1 site for local online classified ads. Ebay owns 25% of Craigslist.
