Background: I have an comp. background, mostly training clients in MS Office product. I do like the training/teaching aspect of my job (as opposed to the "doing" of it all day) so I'm wondering out of MSCE, Cisco Certs, and Linux where do you see the demand growing the most for what employers want in the next 5 years? Which one pays more for entry level and how much on average (estimates are fine)?

I'm not worried about which one is harder to learn because I have no problem puttin in that work.

fuck an MCSE get CCSP, CISSP and RHCE if u bout it. Microsoft gigs and hittin on shit.

Try going to a job search engine (monster, dice, jobcircle, etc.) and doing a few searches for jobs in your area. Use the certs as keywords and see what hits you get back. I'm in PA,and the CCNP is probably one of the best bang for the buck opportunities around here. Even with Juniper and HP getting slightly stronger in the network world, Cisco is still considered to be king.
