YO---HANNNN!!!

That's right. It's official. Johann Santana is now a memeber of the NEW YORK METS!!! He signed a 7 year 150 MILLION dollar contract. Now all he has to do is pass a physical. Even if he fails it, I doubt if the Mets rescind the trade.
Unless we find out there's some HGH in his system or something

But I digress..............

What was I saying???

Oh yeah........

YO---HANN!!!!!!!

The Mets Should Be Happy But The NL East Is Still Up For Grab.

The NL East title was the Mets to lose last year. And we did. Mainly because whenever we needed a win, we put the ball in the hands of a 40 year old ground ball pitcher whose best days were FAR behind him (and in another city).

You cannot win with that kind of pitcher as your stopper. You can compete, but you can't win. Every winning team has a go to pitcher. It's why the Braves could only win one time in 14 playoff appearances. And that was when John Smoltz was the ace of the staff. With the Mets, it was Pedro, but he was still rehabbing

Now we have one....Even if Pedro never regains his old form

Do you think Pedro will come back 90%?? I don't think with his injury that he can make a full recovery, nevertheless get to 90%. For some reason I almost think he's done, but then again medical technology and will prob have him pitching like nothing happened.

Pedro is going through a transformation right now. He still has gas in the tank, but he is becoming more of a pitcher that gets by on guile than by heat.

But he can still bring it once in a while. Still gets to about 94 MPH. And he still has that wicked curve.

Having Santana helps him more than any other Met pitcher

Had to go alllllll to way to page 4 to find a baseball topic and wouldn't you know it would be my own

YOOOOO---HANNNNNN!!!

No Pedro though. Looks like he may be out of gas after all.
Still the pitching staff looks pretty good not that we don't
have Glavine

A few problems with the teams offensively, but I think Willie
will get them started once it warms up a bit.

I like this Pagan cat too.
