MONEY: What was your biggest flip/comeup?

Just saw a thread where someone made $50K off of a $20 bet.
Like Willie D from the Ghetto Boys said. Eventually, you're going to hit a lick and come up on a large sum of money. What you do with it next is up to you

Years ago I was betting on sports on 5dimes. From late February to June, I was putting money down on basketball and soccer. Turned a $500 deposit into a little over $9K. I was a broke ass student at the time, so this was a good come up for me.

U like 29 right?

$1500 on pro tools setup in 2000.

Fed my family, a bunch of other families, and provided an opportunity for me to travel and work abroad.

Invest in your dreams.
Same shit here

Pro tools, a computer, a motu interface, a Roland xp-80, and an ensoniq asr-x pro off a good summer in the streets drove my next 15 years.

Don't know if I can say it was my 'biggest flip' per se, but it was my best investment.

Did some voiceover that netted me 10k for 45 seconds worth of work.
man I'm trying to get back into VO but these sites seem like pipe dreams. Any tips or other sage advice?

Twice last year I bought a $20 scratch off and won 10 Gs
that's crazy.

Hit me up on the voice over info. I do about 7 voices/accents, and I'm a damned good singer. I also do a pretty good James Earl Jones. Check godofwine77 on YouTube. I just don't know how to get started

Lawnmower & gardening tools as a teenager. Able to build up a little client base in the city (one of the customers made me free business cards to help) and I went from there. Able to make $15 - 20 an hour (sometimes a bit more) straight cash in high school in the mid-90s. Lasted for a number of years into my early-20s. Worked for a pro landscaper at 16 - much harder work for less pay though. Helped build my work ethic. Happy to have my own side hustle for better pay though.

We 2 years apart.

I would answer your question but, the feds on this bitch.
I hear you. Quiet money is the best money
Selling refurbished tech. Can't say how much I make.
I know you made a killing
My homie sold over $60K worth of equipment from an old IT job. They were no longer using whatever it was, so he just took it and flipped it on eBay.

Not a huge come up, but I bought a 2003 Honda Accord Ex for $500. The lady was getting rid of it because she took it to an auto zone because of a check engine light. It gave her the code for faulty transmission/speed sensor. Bought it, slapped on a $60 speed sensor and $40 detail, sold it for $5500. All transactions made on craigslist.
