a friend of mine just started a new website. its her way of giving a voice to all the african americans who are missing, victims of unsolved murders, etc who dont get the airtime in the mainstream media. please support this site and check back often. you never know who/what you may be able to help with and not even know it.

Yes, that is her, she has been promoting the site through her jia-tv.com and on youtube. She is no longer doing porn-that's what she says.

The site is owned by someone with a jia email address. I looked it up. So, that is her.

True....So why did she put her pic on there? I read all of the stories, sad-but formative. In order to bring people to the site for the right purposes she may want to take her pic down. But kudos to her and her stand she is taking.

Thanks for the tread Persia. I am addicted to Court TV & A&E I've always wondered why the mainstream media never paid that much attention to the Urban communities.... Its refreshing to see that someone actually cares Hopefully some of the unsolved cases can get solved...

I understand your apprehension and defensiveness, being this is an extension of BGOL.

But not only did you mention, " Your friend ", also she used a picture of herself, with prominent marquee like page placement.

Both actions imply an importance concerning whom owns the site.



The content does need attention.

I personally will also always exercise my right to investigate the content, the motivations of the content provider, and the content provider themselves.

In other words, I will decide for myself, if the owner is important or not. In this case, I certainly believe that the owner and her motivations are.

I'm not going to knock it hard. But I know people pick up, " Causes " for many different reasons. Some reasons, more self serving than others. Though I'm sure some personal justification will be found and toted.



To be frank, I refuse to have my emotions be exploited by self idolatry masked as, " Activism ".
