If we really think about it, the basic principles of modern feminism started of on point. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, women's groups rallied for equal pay, equal education and an end to discrimmination aka equity feminism, and for the record, most men do not have an issue with that.
As a matter of fact, I know many who even encouraged it.
The feminist movement took a wrong turn in the form of gender feminism.
The gender feminists are the radical, extreme left, man-hating feminists that refuse to assign personal responsibilty when women do wrong, refuse to admitt that some women really do have serious issues, refuse to acknowledge when women are contaminating a situation or relationship versus contributing to it in a healthy manner; they are the individuals who put on that obnoxious domineering "I'm the boss" and "I don't need a man for sh--" routine. The same ones who will get pregnant, rant about being "woman and MAN enough" to do it alone and then when the child grows up to be a serial killer, school massacre killer, thief, drug dealer or just a run-of-the-mill scrub they blame........men.
Radical gender feminists feel this way because their philosophy seems to be that ALL women are victims of the evil, all-powerful, omnipotent male patriarchal society.
During the late 60's, feminist groups were in the same category as other org that were protesting the Vietnam War, Black civil rights, prison reform, environmentalism, etc. But the radical feminsts became vocal and strong and more important;y, organized.
They put politicians in office and legislation into play, that would support and execute some of the more popular ideology we see today. A lot of feminist ideology came to the forefront because it was ENFORCED by government legislation.
Once they helped put certain politicians in office and began receiving funding to create foundations to HELP women, they only needed one more thing: VICTIMS.
Those of us familair with grant writing know that When you get any type of governemnt monies to start a program, you have to have a legititmate clientel, a building,start-up employees, a cause and PEOPLE to serve.
Well, these feminist groups got their government funding to start "empowering and educating" women, but they had no clientel....in this case, victims. So the gender femnists helped create a victim mentality among women.
Think about it.
Years ago, the femenists began to tell women,
"If someone at your job says to you, 'That's a nice outfit you're wearing,' that's not a compliment, that's SEXUAL HARRASSMENT, and we can get you money."
"If you go out and get drunk, and have sex with eight men, you're not a stank h-o-e, that's date rape and we can get you some money for your guilt and trauma."
*****FOR THE RECORD: I do not advocate that any woman who has been raped earned it or derved it in any way. I am speaking of the individuals who use domestic violence or rape accusations as a means to increase personal wealth, solicit sympathy for a bad decision or propaganda for a cause*******
"If you have four kids by four different men, it's not YOUR fault. THEY - the evil man - got you pregnant and turned you into a victim and we can get you some money for your troubles."
"If you have a child with a scrub and he leaves, YOURE not blame, it's all HIS fault for tricking you and lying to you and if the kid grows up to be as bad as his daddy, it still won't be on YOU, we'll blame the White man for keeping his foot on your scrubs neck and for creating slavery which made YOU weak and gullible and we can get you even more money for your troubles!"
See what I mean about the victim mentality?
Not only do these "cry wolf" tactics not help women, they actaully HARM us as a whole, because they take attention away from women who REALLY need and desrve it.
If one of us is seriously experiencing tensions and anxiety at work, we're not able to get the attention and help we need because there are a bunch of female opportunists making frivilous claims, trying to make a quick buck.
Encouraging women to cry wolf about rape so that they don't look bad after making a silly decision is NOT empowering and it is not justice. It only minimizes the seriousness and viciousness of rape.
Coddling them when they make bad decisions or minimizing their hypocrisy and bad behavior simply because you share the same gender is NOT empowering. It's stupidity and behavior compatible with that of seven-year-olds on a playground.
All you are doing is weakening ALL OF US and any legitimate causes we try to re-shape. Men and other women not onboard think we're just ranting and raving and they ignore ANYTHING that comes from ANY OF US!
We may win a battle by getting over with one or three false claims, but we lose to WAR because now 297 issues will not be heard because of those three bullsh-- claims that got by.
When I was a case manager, if I had a client that was going through a divorce and needed a little temporary assistance until she gets back on her feet, she couldn't get it because there's a five-year waiting list for section-8 housing and if she wanted to get to the top of that list she had to be:
A. A victim of domestic abuse
B. A victim of sexual abuse
C. A recovering addict who was going through rehab.
So, see here we arrive again at the "become a victim, get money" scam. They actually "interviwed" her asking questions about her married life hoping to find some sliver of abuse so that they could place her and her kids in a shelter then get them on the waiting list for a section 8 apartment.
It is sad that this is what we have been reduced to, but the relaity is that the system is like this because we have second and thrid generation professional welfare scammers bottle-necking the system by repeating cycles of dysfunction, welfare and all, squandering the government resources!
Feminsm had good intentions at it's inception, but RADICAL gender feminism has infected that movement and instilled a victim and a "I dont need a man for sh--" mentality that has poured over into our home lives. If convincing you that you don't need a man for anything was somehow supposed to be empowering, it's backfired...BADLY.
Are the feminsits all to blame? No. WE are. We have to learn to be smart enough to know when someone is using us as pawns and blowing smoke up our behinds!
All that this radical feminism has done is encouraged a "divide and conquer" mentality amongst the genders and help foster in generations of dysfunctional children (the end result of all of this nonsense) and broken families. These agencies and organizations are kicked back, getting fat since their getting paid on the front and back ends of this.
Think about it and please...stop fueling the fantasy.
