naw homie he's playing it safe for a reason..its hard to believe because the 60s and 70s seem so far away but its within the lifetime of alot of people when something like a morning show being hosted by a white woman and black man who exhibit chemistry would have never made it to air especially on a national show..
Hell Nat King Cole had a show cancelled because he touched a white womans hand to thank her for being a guest in the 50s..MTV didn't want to air Michael Jackson videos cuz they didn't show black artists and thats in the early 80s.

People tend to forget that "LIVE" is shown nationally. Not just New York and the surrounding states. And since the show is primarily a cash cow for NY tourism, it has to play it safe to a certain degree. Appealing to certain demographics.
I don't tend to watch "LIVE" very often. If I'm home, I'm still on C-SPAN's "WASHINGTON JOURNAL". But if the topic's not interesting, I will switch over once in a while. Ripa and Strahan have GREAT chemistry for sure.
