Maybe this is a league mandate! Maybe Jordan is working furiously behind the scenes trying rally the owners to have Sterling forced out of the league.

I really hope something comes out of Jordan's silence. I'm not aksing him to do something bold, but as the only Black majority owner, in the NBA, he can't be silent.

Say that you've been in contact with the commisioner you'll comment shortly, say that the whole thing is unfortunate and saddenging but god damn, say something!

I agree we should stick to MJ. You can't expect the POTUS who is hated and disliked by a majority of whites in this country to speak out as if he is MLK and Malcolm. His JOB is to be the POTUS, not a black activist or just a black man. Show me someone who gets paid just to be black (besides an actor, most notably Sam Jackson...jk) and I'll sign up for it the next day. But most likely that job will have shitty pay and next to no benefits...

Oh, and didn't Obama end up speaking pretty eloquently about Travon and his similarities to him and the tragedy of the whole situation? Something that both MJ and Kobe neglected to do. Plus he has attempted to put things in place that will benefit a lot of black folk, regardless if it is primarily aimed at the poor.

I agree with what you said about MJ and Kobe. They are coons of the first degree, but like I said in a previous post, I think the silence comes more from them being so egotistically self-centered than it does their true essence as coons. They are thinking about that money first.
