The answer is simple and logical.
Growing up, Mike despised his father. He hated his dad. After he became rich and famous he did everything he could to look different from him. So he started getting surgery.
But as he got more and more famous around the world, not looking like his dad became minor. Looking more "universal" was his goal.
But it was in 93' that Mike got a wake-up call that reminded him he was a black man. When Jordan Chandler accused him of being a pedophile, that changed Mike's life forever. Despite his fame, power, status and money, when Mike was arrested and taken to the police station they treated him as his true black self. The police treated him like an animal and mocked his superstar status.
Mike loved kids and wanted some of his own but he did not want any of his kids to ever go through the harsh racism in this world that he as a black man had experienced TWICE.
So he optioned to have kids without any black in them so they would have a fair shot in life because if they had his black blood or brown skin, they would face some form of racism at some point in their life as he did regardless if they were rich, famous or the sons or daughters of music royalty.
The only way to accomplish that was to get two non-blacks. A white female surrogate and a male sperm donor and give the children Michael's name. Thus Michael's name (not Jackson like his father's) and legacy lives on.
