Michael Eric Dyson: Hillary's White Privilege Will Make Her A Better President For Black Americans

No one knows if obama really cared about black folks but he's a little right, hillary has way more pull to do shit that Obama may or may not do. We do know he's doing his best not to piss off white people and I think that's dyson's point, hillarys white she can piss off white people.

I think Bernie won't get enough white votes....
 
His reasoning is sound and is something that others have said. Whites who run the show will only let whites be saviors. He actually argues the same for Bernie Sanders, but thinks Hillary has a better chance.

I'm convinced we need 4 good years of a Republican in office with a Republican Congress to give guys perspective.

Republicans are eroding black people's right to vote all across the south as we speak. As in today. And Trump is having black men jumped and beaten at his rallies. Today. And yes, staying at home is a vote for the Republican party.

We just might fuck around and get that Republican trifecta black folks say doesn't matter to them.

I can't stand the Republicans either,but do you really think Hilary is going to help black folks...she hasn't said one thing,that will help folks and yet folks is on this bandwagon,because her husband..The same husband who threw countless black men in prison.The only difference between the Republicans and the Democrats are one party hides their racism and the other doesn't...
 
Point being that Hillary may not face the level of obstruction Obama has because she is white. He isn't saying she is better because she is white ,just that she may be able to get some things done because she is.

She has spoken on justice reform, education, jobs, income inequality and some other things but she isn't getting much press because she is favored and the media is spending all their time on Carson, Trump and the rest of that circus.

And in this case is it a matter of will Hillary help black folks as much as will she hurt black folks like any of the GOP will ?

The other issue is the SCOTUS which will most likely lose a justice a two during the next term. Do you want the GOP to select their replacements ?

But don't be fooled Bernie Sanders is doing much better than the media will lead you to believe. He can win if people get out to vote for him.

The Clintons know how to exploit black people like no political family ever has... because the understand black culture and are connected to the black "elite". Bill Clinton was the the worst president of all time for the black poor. His wife will be more of the same.

Barack did not deal with race directly early on out of (legit) fear of losing white America. Even as safely as he's played these two terms, the country is more divided as it's been since I've been alive. So, yea Hil Clinton may be able to come in and have more direct impact on black people because she has permission to. She doesn't have the same pressure of ppl saying she's only hooking her folks up.

It's bullshit but he's 100% on point here. Still can't vote for her personally...

was it during the reagan years and cia selling crack to black neighborhoods?

was it during the carter years and the country was still raw from all the turmoil from the 60s and 50s?

It's not silly at all, and It's not just about Hillary. He basically is saying ANY white democrat can get more done for black people than Obama. That's just how this racist system works. White people create the problems, and they then want the credit for fixing their bullshit.

so obama acting on behalf of 'minorities at large' garners hate by white people because he is black.

That sounds good in theory but during those 4 years a lot if bad things can happen which may make it impossible to fix.

The problem is that we (humans) get lazy. These fights against for equality, fair justice and treatment etc have to always be waged because it is too simple to revert to the 'old " ways.

And yes I point out individual events and those events DID divide people in huge way...how about the OJ trial...don't think that didn't cause ripples across society along racial lines?
