He plans to release The Process (Memphis Bleek album) in 2011.

Memphis Bleek was one of the first artists signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, as protege to long time friend, Jay-Z. He appeared on the Jay-Z Albums Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life, Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia, and The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse.[1] Bleeks first official appearance was Coming of Age from Reasonable Doubt. After the huge success of the multi-platinum Hard Knock Life album and exposure of the Roc-A-Fella camp, (a Memphis Bleek track off the aforementioned Jay-Z album, "It's Alright", actually charted on Billboard), the label released Memphis Bleek's debut album, Coming of Age. The album was the weeks Hot Shot Debut on the Billboard 200, peaking at #7 with 118,000 units sold in its first week.[2] MEMPHIS which the rapper explained to pay homage to Pimps; Making Easy Money Pimping Hoes In Style. He has released 3 more albums since his debut, The Understanding went Gold, M.A.D.E. went Gold. 534 failed to garner any plaques. In between the release of The Understanding and M.A.D.E., he took a three year hiatus, in which time he took care of his older brother, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident.[3] There are three significant notes to take away from the album 534, which was named after the building number where Memphis and Jay-Z grew up in the Marcy Projects. First, it was the first release from the "new" Roc-A-Fella Records, referring to Jay-Z becoming President of Def Jam.[4] It was also the first official Def Jam recording by label mate turned international star, Rihanna, on the song "The One". And lastly, this album marks where Jay-Z released his first song since beginning his brief "retirement". The song was called "Dear Summer", in reference to what Jay called the time of the year when he would drop a classic album or single every year for 8 straight years, and how he had to metaphorically leave "her", Summer.[5]

His single chart status has not proved to be as impressive, as much of his following being with Hip-Hop listeners following Jay-Z and the record Label, and not commercial singles success. His highest charting single was "Is That Yo Chick", Featuring Missy Elliott and Jay-Z, which peaked at #7 on the Hot Rap Singles Billboard Chart, and only one of two songs by the artist to crack the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #68, and the only track to appear on one of his solo albums. The other single being "It's Alright", appearing on the Hard Knock Life album by Jay-Z, peaking at #61 on the Billboard Hot 100.[6] He has had countless collaborations with fellow hip-hop artists such as DMX, Ja Rule, T.I., and Trick Daddy, with many of the features coming with other Roc-A-Fella artists, including Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Cam'ron, Amil, Young Gunz, and of course Jay-Z.

In fall 2005, Memphis Bleek told MTV that he was recording an album called The Process, that he would describe as a make or break album, saying "I want to do an album that's through the roof, I want to do a classic album. I feel that if this album I'm not recording is a classic, I'm not even gonna put it out. I have to do it bigger than anybody has ever done it. I have to make a good record this time, not just talking-junk records."[7] The rapper has worked on the album since 2005 and during that time frame he would release the songs "Hustla", "Get Ya Money Off" and "Let It Off". During this time, he would also leave Roc-A-Fella after Jay-Z told him he could run his own company and had the proper distribution deals to do so.[8] He found a new home in 2009 when he signed to Mass Appeal Entertainment which is where he will release his long anticipated album The Process in 2010.[9]

In the summer of 2010, he was on stage with Jay-Z, as a background singer, on the Swedish festival Peace&Love.

Kanye Omari West (play /ˈkɑːnjeɪ/; born June 8, 1977)[1] is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. However, subsequent productions saw him broadening his musical palette and expressing influences encompassing '70s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synth-pop, and classical music.[2]

West released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004, his second album Late Registration in 2005, his third album Graduation in 2007, his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak in 2008, and his fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010. West released a collaborative album, Watch the Throne, with Jay-Z on August 8, 2011, which is the duo's first collaborative album. His five solo albums, all of which have gone platinum, have received numerous awards and critical acclaim.[3] As of 2011, West has won a total of fourteen Grammy awards.[4][5][6] All albums have been very commercially successful, with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy becoming his fourth consecutive No.1 album in the U.S. upon release.[7] West has had 5 songs exceed 3 million in digital sales as of July 2011, with "Gold Digger" selling 3,086,000, "Stronger" selling 4,402,000, "Heartless" selling 3,742,000, "E.T." selling over 4,000,000 and "Love Lockdown" selling over 3,000,000[8][9] placing him third in overall digital sales of the past decade .[10][11] He has sold over 25 million digital songs in the United States placing him second for solo male artists on the list and sixth overall for best selling digital artists.[12]

West also runs his own record label GOOD Music, home to artists such as John Legend, Common and Kid Cudi.[13] West's mascot and trademark is "Dropout Bear," a teddy bear which has appeared on the covers of three of his five albums as well as various single covers and music videos.[14] About.com ranked Kanye West No.8 on their "Top 50 Hip-Hop Producers" list.[15] On May 16, 2008, Kanye West was crowned by MTV as the year's No.1 "Hottest MC in the Game."[16] On December 17, 2010, Kanye West was voted as the MTV Man of the Year by MTV.[17] Billboard ranked Kanye West No. 3 on their list of Top 10 Producers of the decade.[18]

i don't like kanye and would love to see memphis bleek beat his ass but since that aint gone happen, i still would rather hear bleek wit hova on a song.kanye is that dude you bring to the table for a meeting and he just tries to take over on some all eyes on me shit. dude doesn't know his lane imo.bleek doing his own thing though. from what i've seen him and jay still cool theres a clip of jay bringin bleek out on stage at the 40/40 club recently.

I ain't reading all that shit about no fucking Memphis Bleek and Kanye. They are just two different artists. Memphis Bleek was never gonna blow up. I don't know if Hov saw that or not but dude just didn't have "it". Not many niggas do. Hell about 3% of the niggas rapping have it. Bleek didn't make bad music. He made decent music. His songs sounded like Hov throwaway tracks. Hov's throwaway tracks>>>>most dudes album tracks but for Bleek to go to that next level he needed music where he stood on his own.

And let's remember Kanye wasn't Hov's protege'. He's become that now but when he came out Kanye created his own buzz. You rarely saw Hov in the same room with him earlier in his career.

Did you really type all that bullshit out? Kanye was a producer first making beats for Hov, the shit is not even the same.

Bleek was never gonna blow up. He only had about 3 good songs and they had features. I cant think of any songs he had by himself that were jammin at all. Kanye can stand on his own as an artist, Bleek cant.

I will help you dawg[/B]

never understood the bleek hate with some of you cats, hell bleek had the nuts to go after nas before jay z did

Yea I was never a fan of Bleek but dude could rap. Just couldn't get out of Hov's shadow like Beans did.

This shit here use to JAM!!!! This when I first heard about Napster and went through my East Coast music phase.

And are these vevo channels made by labels or fans? How the fuck can that shit say DJ Kool instead of Dj Clue? Must be some dumbass fan.

Pretty much.Kanye just has star power. Some people just have it.It takes alot of effort and momentum to "make" people like an artist, but artists with star power just need a little exposure and people keep checking for them.Star power has little to do with Talent.Cats like Gucci Mane,French Montana,Jim Jones and Diddy are aren't the best artists musically, but have star power to keep peoples' interest.

Exactly. Memphis Bleek is a superior artists to those dudes but what those dudes have is far more charisma and now how to craft songs for people all over the country other than just makin' music for niggas from Marcy.

The only reason memphis didnt blow up is pressure. He was supposed to be the next Jigga and that led to pressure which led him to try to make "hits" instead of good music. Same shit happened with Jada Kiss he tried to make "hit" records instead making good music which is why he never blew. Gucci, French and Jim Jones dont have star power or at least they dont have any more star power than bleek. They just didnt have the pressure to make a "hit" record.

didn't jigga say Bleeks work was bad...about he would look for bleek to hit the studio and bleek would just be chilling with hoes not really wanting to do anything..

I believe it. Because look at how Beans career ended up and look how Bleek's did. Bleek never did mixtapes. Rarely did freestyles. He sat back and let that shit get handed to him. Beans was always on his grind. And they both had the same push from Rocafella. Hell Rocafella probably felt Bleek was more of the star but Beans had more work ethic.

i dont understand how Jay could of started w Ye if he didnt know him? That being said, I was having this discussion with my boy, in every duo one has to be the producer. EPMD, UGK, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, the lists goes on. One has to do the beats and the other is the primary rapper, it just flows that way. Memph aint no producer, he was just a dude on the label that knew Jay way back, but M.A.D.E. is still a classic

Naw, I don't think Bleek has "It"

Lloyd Banks is a better emcee, but he's missing that star power that 50 has.

What you said describes Fab to me. Dude has some hit songs, but I can't tolerate more than two or three songs on his albums.

Think about it, did he need too?

You know once or twice a year, Jay is going on tour, and who is he going to bring along....

I hope Jay would have gotten his man stock ideas and business investment ideas along the way.

Bleek was Jay's boy, not a talented rapper.

Kanye was a talented producer who happened to work his way to become one of the biggest rap stars in the game.

Bleek had all the backing of the world, and couldn't become the next Jay.

Neither Jay nor Dame were backing Kanye as a rapper in the beginning. Kanye put his own money up for the through the wire video and only after he created some buzz with it, then Dame decided to sign him to the Roc as a rapper.

Kanye made himself into the Jay-Z of his era. To the point where Jay makes a "duet" album with him in 2011 as if he was his equal.

'Bleek, you're one hit away......'

With 'Dear Summer' it's not like Jay didn't try to help his homie.
