Melanie Miller — the TMZ reporter who notoriously jogged with A$AP Rocky for an interview and had her phone snatched by Kanye West for grilling him about Bianca Censori — has reportedly been arrested for public intoxication in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to Scoop Nashville, the 34-year-old paparazzo and comedian, born Melanie Leanne Miller, was removed from Country music star Jason Aldean‘s eatery, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, in the early hours of Sunday (March 3). The publication reported that Miller was escorted out of the bar on Broadway due to her level of intoxication.
Around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday (March 2), Metro Nashville Police Department officials were called to the bar, where Miller reportedly told officers that she wanted to make a report about a group of people allegedly being homophobic at the bar. Officers reportedly claimed the TMZ reporter reeked of alcohol and told them that she was waiting for her friends to come and meet her at the bar.
Officers reportedly said Miller began waiting for her friends, standing on the corner of Jason Aldean’s bar and the Broadway Brewhouse, where she was eventually told to leave the area. The officers reportedly tried to hail a cab for Miller, but she allegedly refused to get inside and leave the property.
Moments later, she reportedly began questioning officers, asking for their names and badge numbers, and allegedly berating them for not displaying either on their uniforms. At this point, the officers said they deemed Miller a danger to herself and others and placed her under arrest for public intoxication.
Melanie Miller was booked on a citation on March 3 and later charged with public intoxication. According to online records, the TMZ reporter was given a bond amount of $250, and on the same day of her arrest, her misdemeanor case was quickly dismissed and closed. She has also since deleted her Instagram.
As previously mentioned, Miller has gone viral a couple of times for her ambitious and persistent interview style. In October 2023, Miller caught A$AP Rocky jogging in West Hollywood, CA and tried to get an interview from the New York rapper. However, he told the reporter that if she wanted any exclusives she had to keep up with him, a challenge she bravely took on. After the jog, Miller reportedly vomited which prompted Flacko to treat her to lunch after “hearing about what happened.”
Then in January 2024, Miller went viral again after grilling Kanye West about his partner Bianca Censori. Miller interrogated the rapper about Censori’s “free will,” and Ye went off, snatching the TMZ reporter’s phone and going off on a long-winded rant.
