Result: The biggest smoke and mirror done on black music in the modern era since the change in aesthetics in 2012. 360 deals and record companies finding more ways to get into the pocket of artists. Also artists signing to artists who are signed to artists who are signed to an "independent" that is signed to a major.

The hip hop songs are out there to show people what the game actually is.

This is another smoke and mirror done in the industry on artists who fall for it because of ego and wanting yes people around them who don't know the real them.

If you're an up and coming artist you might not even be worth 10k. Most of these artists have no leverage when they sign these deals. Not to mention a lot of them are in crazy situations where 10k will keep them off the street.

Megan made her label a lot of money and wanted to renegotiate now that she had some shit to show for it.

She didn't want to leave the label. She wanted to renegotiate.

A good businessman would renegotiate and work something out that benefits both of them. But instead he pulls some nigga shit and tries to stop her from releasing music. Meg is probably the only artist keeping the lights on in that label, so if she don't release music, he ain't getting paid either.

At a certain point y'all gotta stop solely blaming the artists and starting holding these predatory ass record labels responsible for this shit.

She never left 1501 Entertainment bro. She just signed a management deal with Roc Nation. And she’s not trying to leave now, she’s just trying to renegotiate her contract. How is that showing disloyalty?
