Marshawn Lynch has a new gig: Cal scout-team running back.

The former Seahawks star, who announced his retirement after last season, has joined Cal, his alma mater, this week in Sydney, Australia, where the Golden Sonny Dykes told ESPN.

As you can see from these photos posted via Twitter by Cal, Lynch seems to be enjoying his time down under.

Dykes only wishes he could use Lynch in a game. Alas, his eligibility has expired.

"I told him, 'If you had one game left, we'd give it to you 50 times,'" Dykes said.

Lynch might be retired, but he's still involved in football. From taking scout-team reps to recruiting Muhammad Ali's grandson, his fingerprints are all over the Cal program.

Marshawn Lynch will go down as the most underrated NFL player ever. Dude has been going beyond the bright lights of the NFL. Our communities need more summer activities for young kids. All kids want to learn, the local government is not willing to put money in place to provide things like Basketball Courts, Swimming pools, Football, track, and baseball fields. And then wonder why kids are out in the streets doing the wrong things.

I remember the game the Seahawks played the Eagles. That wasn't a good day for the Eagles.

How can you not like Marshawn,he was one of the few real players in the NFL..On,top of that,he love the city he came from despite being a player.

The media would never show something positive like this in the news

Two super bowl appearances and a ring and most clutch RB of his era will trump his stats. Just looking at how they vote.

Clutch? I don't know about that. Was he clutch in Buffalo? How clutch is he when he had terrible conversion rate on the goaline?Below league average. He gets overrated because he had great runs, a great nick name and a good bad attitude. Lets be honest his best years came with Russell Wilson and running the read option. He never had over 1300 yards without Russell. That's says something about him getting into he hall.

Listen let's be honest.
The entire team only played well and won when he got the ball period.
They tried to phase him out like 3 DIFFERENT times and it cost them every single time.
He actually took the team to the playoffs and won a playoff game BEFORE russell came to the team.
And The read option wasn't the reason he ran the ball well in fact it only helped Wilson
What helped him was simple... 3wr sets. Instead of running out of power sets he ran out of 3wr sets which teams are trying to do now. you take off a lb and add a corner and that's advantage beastmode every single time.
Horrible conversation rate on the goal line is because the seattle line has never been a mauling line. In fact it's always been some of the lowest rated lines in the NFL. He made that line look better than it was. When it was time to bully people at the goal line they couldn't do it which is why they stopped trying to do it.
Dude gets 6 yards carrying dudes on his back from somewhere else on the field but can't get it on the 1? that's because on the 1 all the hogs are in and the hogs he has aren't big or bad. seattle's line has always been sleeker, zone blocking gap responsibility cut back lanes. not a power line

IF we want to get honest.

and this is coming from a 49er fan.
