So the fight is this Saturday, my $ is on Marquez. After them 3 knockdowns he figured Pac out and took him to school. So who y'all got and why?

Here's the first fight for whoever hasn't seen it....

For some reason I don't like Pac...maybe it's because he got the best of Morales and Barrera (two Mexican fighters that I do like) and Marquez didn't get as many big chances that Manny got (esp. after his loss to Chris John)

BTW, anyone got the countdown to Pacquiao-Marquez on them? I want to get the theme to that show...that beat is sick

You feel the same way I do, but with me it's because he beat two battle-weary, great but physically old fighters. Morales though took the blueprint that Marquez created and was able to beat Pacman. I got Marquez, after that first round he basically sonned Pac. He's better now than he was 4 years ago. You know I've said this beofre but Marquez has the best pure boxing technique in the game. And Floyd Sr. was right about Pacman not learning anything since Pac been with Roach. I've been saying Pac is a straight up 1-2 1-2 fighter. This Filipino kid from my block was like "how the hell is Marquez going to win, with Pacman's new hook and jab", I told him "shit, the only way Pac got a new hook and jab is if they replaced that mufucka's arms".
I don't think he's an improved fighter, he can't fight going backwards and JM Marquez already took his best shots and wasn't KO'ed. My prediction is that Marquez walks Pacman to school, Marquez in 12.
And to beat Chris John in his country you have to KO him, that mofo never fights outside his country.
BTW I'll check around for that Countdown show for you, when I get it I'll post it here.

:lol::lol::lol:

And I have yet to see Pacquiao fight backwards effectively...And with Roach training him it's as good as over for him...

I think Roach is the most overrated trainer in boxing

I like Roach but in contrast I think that Mayweather Sr. and Marqez's trainer Nacho Beristain are the very best in my opinion. Yo check for Beristain's youngest fighter, Abner Mares at 118lbs, that kid is going to do damage in the lower weight classes, he's like JM Marquez with blazing speed. He's the best prospect Golden Boy got right now I think.

Buddy McGirt is a close second, shit, everytime I see him in the ring his fighter is losing.:lol:

While I don't agree with the opinions on Roach and McGirt, I do think Marquez will win. He's just a better all-around boxer and nearly as good a brawler. He took Manny's best shot in the first fight and still almost won. He's in Pacquiao's head far more than Morales or Barrera (who should never have been in that second fight).

JMM by decision. Should be great. Better be great since I'm going to be late for work to watch it.

That's damn real, especially if you payin for it and then going to work late.

tough one to call - Marquez by decision

Pacquiao has been on a roll - and is better offensively now
but Marquez is a better pure boxer

to the OP - thanks 4 uploading their fight

Paq is gonna knock that fool out. I don't know how you figure Marquez got better.:smh::smh:

How you figure he didn't, since he's fought Pac he beat Barrera and dismantled Rocky Juarez, a much younger dangerous opponent. Have you been watching Marquez fight dude? That dude is gonna pick Pacman apart, just watch. Everybody who is picking Pacman is going with the safe bet or they don't really know much about boxing. But look, Pac couldn't do anything with an old, fat master boxer like Barrera. Marquez is a slightly better master boxer than Marco, he's much younger physically because he hasn't been in wars like Marco. And, HE ALREADY TOOK PAC'S BEST SHOTS IN THE FIRST FIGHT AND GOT RIGHT BACK UP, AFTER THE 3RD ROUND PAC GOT SCHOOLED. THIS FIGHT WILL CONTINUE WHERE MARQUEZ LEFT OFFHe's gonna walk Pacman to school. Remember you heard it here first.

Pac barely finished Morales in the 2nd fight, and he surely shouldn't have faced him then b/c Erik got beat by Zahir Raheem...and nobody knew who the fuck Raheem was before that fight...

As long as Marquez doesn't get too sloppy and controls himself during toe-to-toe exchanges, then he'll take Pac out...I got him winning it in 10.

i like pacman myself he'll put too much heat on marquez pound him up against the ropes and stop him in the 7th rd.

I always said that Morales lost too much of himself in those 3 wars with Barrera. He wasn't the same even after the first fight. Those guys got old before their time because of those wars. Plus Barrera's 2 fights with Junior Jones and his war with Kennedy McKinney, he was starting to wear down before the first fight with Pac, I mean dude has been pro since 15 years old. Marquez is going to have to fight one last great fight in order to beat Pac, because if it's as close as the first fight Pac will get the nod because he's younger and the more popular, money-making fighter. Marquez has to win convincingly. Anything could happen but I don't believe he will KO Marquez, he'll get his licks in but I believe Marquez will counter effectively and keep Pac honest, at a distance Marquez is the more accurate puncher. Shit, I'm just hoping for a great fight, I hope it's not like Taylor/Pavlik II.

I love Marquez technique, but Pacquiao is just a beast. I always pick ring smarts over speed/power, but Pacquiao got too much of everything.(speed/power/endurance/relentlessness) Marquez is the smarter fighter, but Pac's conditioning is top notch and he always comes out even better in a rematch.(even though he aint KO Barrera in the second bout)

I want Marquez to win, because I love his style of boxing, but I'm gonna give it to Pacquiao again... He should've won the first fight too.

Co-sign. Even fight at best. Marquez clearly won.

Marquez got fucking robbed, this is the shit that pisses me off, Ring Magazine had they claws in this one. You see the Ring Magazine mofos putting the belt on the more "marketable" champ. Pacquiao got schooled, I was right, that wasn't no even fight, I had Pac winning 3 rounds. Even my Filipino dog called me up just now to say they robbed Marquez.:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
Bullshit politics.

That's how I felt about the Mosley/Cotto fight...

Pac had no defense in the whole fight...like I said on a thread in the main board, Pacquiao must've been real hungry comin in the ring because he ate a bunch of right hand sammiches the whole fight...He basically won the judges off of two punches....TWO!!!

Dan Rafael and Darius Ortiz scored it 114-113 Marquez, which is what my initial score was...but if I watched it again, it could be 115-112 or 116-111 Marquez

Dude I have Pac winning 3 rounds now that I look at it. All the Filipinos are going crazy on Fox, they didn't even wanna hear shit, to them Pac won hands down, them mufuckas are SOOO biased. And yo, no way was the Cotto/Mosley fight even remotely as lopsided as this. Mosley was coming forward fine, but he was eating alot of leather from Cotto's counterpunching. And he ate too much leather early, there's no way he swept all the late rounds either, but I feel you, I just can't agree man.

three rounds would make it 117-112 Marquez...the dude that had it 115-112 pretty much got it right...he saw how sloppy Pacquiao was the whole fight...

what was the in-ring weights for both fighters? I heard that Pac had gained a lot of weight between the weigh-in and the fight

They say Pac came into the ring at 141. I don't know I think
116-111 was how it should have been all around. Pac looked like shit to me. And he wasn't this greatly improved fighter, he proved it by shooting that 1-2 1-2 combo over and over again, he's one dimensional no matter how much Roach tries to teach him. I'm tight right now, I'ma go burn some chronic, peace.
