Damn..
I hate to be jaded, but if it is as it appears that it's a nice to see youthful innocence. However, I very recently saw a similar picture of a toddler trying to wipe the tears away from someone that was crying on TV. The skeptic in me thinks that maybe the parent/photographer may have told the kids to wipe the tears/share their food just so that they could take a picture that would likely get shared multiple times.
Stereotyping the image, and this is what the image is.
