David Robinson, 34, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole plus 15 additional years on Tuesday

The Georgia man who fatally shot his life-long friend just a few hours after being released from prison in 2017 is now set to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The last time 34-year-old David Robinson was set free, he shot Jalal Ross-Beyah to death in a strip club parking lot.

The 29-year-old Ross-Beyah, a father and entrepreneur, took Robinson to Peaches of Atlanta, a strip club in the the 700 block of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, to celebrate Robinson's newfound freedom the day he finished serving an eight year prison sentence for a 2007 armed robbery.

Authorities said the two men had an argument in Ross-Beyah's vehicle before Robinson grabbed Ross-Beyah's handgun and opened fire, shooting the victim multiple times, according to Fox 5 Atlanta and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

What the former friends were arguing about remains a mystery.

'After pulling into the parking lot that evening, Robinson grabbed Ross-Beyah’s handgun and began firing for no apparent reason. Ross-Beyah was struck [two] times, once in the neck and once above his eye, and he died immediately,' the Fulton County District Attorney's office said in a Tuesday press release.

'There is no indication as to what caused Robinson to grab his childhood friend’s weapon and begin firing,' the office noted.

After killing Ross-Beyah, Robinson tried to shoot another friend who was with the late 29-year-old before attempting to climb a fence and escape the scene.

Security guards apprehended and held him until police arrived. He was back in handcuffs and later jail within hours.

On Tuesday, Fulton County Superior Court Senior Judge Jerry W. Baxter sentenced Robinson to life without the possibility of parole plus an additional 15 years for charges including murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The life-long criminal had six previous felony convictions for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and the aforementioned armed robbery. In 2013, during his previous time in prison, Robinson received an added conviction for giving or possessing illegal items.

He is being held without bond in Fulton County Jail before his next scheduled court appearance at 9.30am on October 30.

The other dude was in on the robbery and got away. Dude did that 8 joints and kept his yap shut. He got out and was looking for some bread for holding dude down. Nigga took him to a strip club for his loyalty, and dude felt slighted. Words were exchanged and...

Damn. And his solution to gettin made whole was turn right back around and catch a lifetime bid?!? That mofo must have rode the short bus!

Bet it was over a bitch or some money he felt owed.

thats exactly what that was.. he felt when he was getting out his friend was gonna hook him up...

appears bruh tried to play him with some drinks and lap dances..

that shit might work with a fourteen year ol...

bruh was probably in jail all them years thinkin..

if this bitch dont have my money................

Probably was trying to shake down his "friend" for more money
:smh:

I knew a dude back home like that. He'd shake down dudes that were slanging that he would hang with all night. When they dropped him off for the night, he'd tell 'em, "You know what time it is." They'd reply, "What are you talking about?" Him: "Give it up. Don't make me get my pistol." Them emptying pockets: "That's fucked up man. I bought you all that beer and smoke." Him: "Well, since you want to get smart, give me them Jordans too."

He's doing 30 for manslaughter in NY. <strike>He don't get out until 2032</strike>. He might get out on some Rick Ross shit. He's got a scheduled re-sentencing as he successfully argued that they erroneously charged him as a repeat offender under their statute. I'm still trying to figure out how he got a Facebook, Instagram and Spotify page.

What's even more fucked up is everybody knew he was robbing dudes. It's like the very first episode of The Wire when McNulty asked old boy why did they let the dude (the guy lying dead in the street) play if they knew was going to grab the cash when the pot got big.

Somebody would be driving him around and they'd pass where we were hanging out. Somebody in the crew would say, "He got another one." Hell, we even warned people and told them not to hang out with him. Everybody swore they'd be different. We'd see KW the next day with money, new kicks and cases of beer for everybody.

I saw that article, I need answers as to why’d he start shooting?

Did the snitch on him?

Dude just got out of jail and was at the stripclub. He wanted the dude to buy him some pussy and dude wouldn’t, Had all that built up “pressure” and when he couldn’t release it just snapped

Montreys had the hoodest of hood bitches in Atlanta. My first strip club was Jazzy T’s in the Dec....jeezus christ...someone was praying for me!

Lol,, There was always one out of place dime in there when I went lol. I stopped going after you had to walk under the bridge from that parking lot. Didn't want to roll the dice of life anymore than I had to.

It's odd, they were childhood friends yet are five years apart....., unless they were family I didn't hang out with folks with that much age difference when I was a child/teenager....
