The shooter was licensed to carry BUT he wasn't in direct danger at the time of shooting..so he's gonna be charged with something...but the best outcome will probably be a sympathetic jury... some kind of long ass probation...and little if any jail time.

what yall think?

Murder charges vary by jurisdiction, but generally include:

  • First-degree murder
Also known as capital murder, this is the most serious type of murder and involves premeditation or intentional killing. In Pennsylvania, first-degree murder can result in a death sentence or life in prison without parole.

  • Second-degree murder
This involves intentional killing without premeditation.

  • Felony murder
This controversial law allows prosecutors to charge defendants with murder if a death occurs during the commission of a felony, even if they weren't the direct killer.

  • Voluntary manslaughter
This is often the result of an aggravated attack or killing in the heat of the moment.

  • Involuntary manslaughter
This is the least serious form of homicide and involves an unintentional killing that results from recklessness or negligence. For example, leaving a baby in a car on a hot day and the baby dying.

This is a weird one because owner of the car wasn't in danger.

Bridge and Pratt is straight gutter, I'm looking at the owner side eyed for even leaving his car running.

For those that don't know, this location (Bridge and Pratt) is a few blocks from Zombie Land, a/k/a Kensington.

Again, who would leave their car running in an area like this?

definitely excessive... buuuuuut I totally understand,

you just minding yo business, living yo life, next thing you know,

a muthafucka, all in YO shit, that YOU worked hard for, driving it off,

like

FUCK YOOU.. naaah, its FUCK YOOOOU...

that being said, while I probably would've done the same thing and over reacted...

the feel good moment would only last moments, Id be feeling bad like a muthafucka,

I know a lot of you cowboys would be like fuck that dude... nah its steal just a car,

nothing to take a life over...... I agree he shouldn't get jail time, but some probation.... not more that a year tho..

Funny one because dude was already driving away and he got him through the window.

That said dude is a good mf shot.

There was no imminent or immediate danger to him so he had a duty to retreat or in this case call the cops.

This is like shooting someone in the back while theyre running away instead here driving away.

They will probably pursue full charges against him, 2nd degree murder because he was reckless with intent to do harm.

If he has a good lawyer he will get off with a manslaughter, time plus probation, if he got money couple years probation.

Ahhh Kensington, i remember chilling there one late. Around there it's nothing to see people burning heaps of trash on the sidewalk, or in trash cans. I remember a fire truck pulling up, and shortly after I heard a fireman yell "GTFO MEE!"
I was like damn, are they eating him?

It truly is the closest thing I've seen in comparison to the Walking Dead.

One warning shot in the air while taking cover. If the car jacker produces a gun light that ass up.

So far it looks like you came the closest to what might happen.....

the DA will probably start with the highest charge (as they always do) and his lawyer will negotiate it down to vol manslaughter...

In Pennsylvania, the punishment for involuntary manslaughter depends on the circumstances of the case:
  • First-degree misdemeanor
The typical punishment for involuntary manslaughter is up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. This is the punishment for most cases of involuntary manslaughter.

  • Second-degree felony
If the victim was under 12 and in the care of the person accused, the charge is a second-degree felony. The punishment for a second-degree felony is up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
Involuntary manslaughter is defined as causing the death of another person through an unlawful or lawful act that was reckless or grossly negligent.

A conviction for involuntary manslaughter can have long-term consequences, including a criminal record that can affect employment and relationships. A criminal defense lawyer can help you understand the penalties and fight to mitigate them.

this is a tricky one
i fucking despise thieves but cacs cant be playing hero in public either
fuck it since its a cac lock him up for a year or two
my black ass isnt getting leniency

Varies by state. Some states allow you the use of lethal force on property like cars as part of castle doctrine while other states require for there to be in imminent danger before lethal force is allowed even if the threat is inside your home or on your property. I don't know the laws for PA either way dude better lawyer up.

Any video of the shooting? If not " look officers my firearm was left in my vehicle some fool broke into my car and shot his damn self " it's real out here yall stay up.

In Texas.... its case Closed. Justified and Applauded
Protection of property with deadly force is legal and encouraged
"Sir have a nice day, were sorry for the inconvenience"

I bet the next thieves are thinking twice about jacking a car.....is it worth it?
Welp...

Sad, but oh well. The shooter will probably be charged with something, especially if he’s Black.

Bridge and Pratt is hood. Leaving the car running is very egotistical and lures issues.

it all depends on what color the shooter was....if he's white he'll walk but if he's.

Let em have that car, long as no one gets hurt

If I was on the jury.. I wouldn't convict.. The shooter more than likely stopped future crimes from happening. The car could have been used in a robbery or drive-by later on or have been stripped for parts or shipped overseas, with those funds funding organized crimes/"terrorism"..

Who leaves their car running in that neighborhood….someone w a gun daring a ni99a to try to take they shi+.

Castle doctrine doesn’t apply in this case as the car was fleeing and owner was in no danger.

Although we all understand…..are we looking at this from a owner aspect or legal aspect.

If this was a cop that shot dude….y’all would have a different viewpoint. FU@#in hypocrites. :dunno: :roflmao:

Carry on……

They really moved those drug addicts all the way up the block. I may not like the mayor but she got them off of Allegheny. It’s sad to see them at Frankford Hospital but I feel better that they’re around that neighborhood.
