Last time I heard of one getting robbed was like 1995, when dude shot five in the back of the head, face down on the floor in Montclair NJ..... turned out to be a cousin of a co-worker and had played pool with us at the firehouse, his girl ratted him out, money was behind the refrigerator... he was having problems paying the rent..... he's living rent-free now

Bronx worker pistol-whipped by gunman who robs $112,000 cash from post office safe, FBI investigating
The postal worker was standing outside the Castle Hill Ave. post office branch around 7 a.m. when the crook dragged her inside, ordering her to open the post office as well as the safe inside.
A Bronx postal worker was pistol-whipped by a gunman who then stole $112,000 cash and 10 boxes of money orders from a post office safe Tuesday, police said.
The postal worker had just been dropped off by her husband at the Castle Hill Ave. branch when she was attacked about 7 a.m. The crook, who was lying in wait outside the branch, pistol-whipped her and ordered her to open the post office and then the safe inside about 7 a.m., cops said.
The post office was not scheduled to open until 8 a.m.
A deli worker on the block, who gave his name only as Mohammed, didn’t see what happened but later watched surveillance video his store captured.
He said the postal worker always gets dropped off by her husband, who helps her open the gate before he drives off.
“(The husband) walked back to his car, he parked across the street,” Mohammed said. “Today somebody (the gunman) was parked out front in a white Honda Odyssey. He was parked before 6, he waited from that time to 7.”
“The guy pulled out a gun and put it to her head,” he added. The husband sees that and he ran back to the door. The robber opened the door and dragged them in.”
“You want to be a hero? You and her go both,” the robber told the husband, before forcing him inside the post office with his wife, according to an account Mohammed heard from cops.
The crook cleaned out the safe, which contained the cash, money orders and a printer, before running out of the location.
The employee was treated at the scene. Her husband wasn’t hurt.
“The good thing is, no one got hurt,” Mohammed said. “That could have been me, it could have been anyone.”
Both the NYPD and the FBI responded to the robbery but the feds quickly took over the investigation, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
Calls and emails to the FBI, the Southern District of New York and the United States Postal Service for comment were not immediately returned.
