Umm wait a sec. You want to get paid off of the likeness of a copyrighted character?
I understand you want to get paid for your work, but a royalty and a work for hire/pay per project fee is very, very, very different.
If you aren't hittin' up the makers of Naruto ... there is no way you can legally collect a royalty. Even a fee is questionable without you hitting them off for their licensing.

How would you make royalties off a logo.
Charge them off potential growth of the company intended, make a "edumacated guesstimate" and charge them one time.
Try to see if you can get your hands on a copy of The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook

Royalties? There's no way in hell I would pay someone royalties just for creating a logo but good luck with that. There are people who will make some high-quality logos out there for $100-$300 flat with all rights given to the purchaser. You might want to just consider creating your own products if you are trying to get a continuous payment for graphics work.

I agree. I bought a really nice logo for $75. I would never pay royalties for graphics work.
