Machine That Turns Thrown Away Plastic Into Oil, Gas, Propane Etc

Not a bad idea, especially in overpolluted countries... even though there is a possibility that the energy used in the undertaking may more than the energy that would be derived from this propane..

Re: man turns plastic into oil.

Why this hasn't been done sooner is a puzzle to me. You know those who are in the development of plastics should have known long ago that it can be converted back to an oil. Now there would be really no need to separate plastics by numbers if you are turning it back into oil and so ALL plastics could be collected by the city. Cities could use this to fuel their fleet vehicles.

Solar energy could be used to convert the plastics back into oils.

Win win

Re: man turns plastic into oil.

This is absolutely fascinating, so why is this man not a zillionaire and the shitty U.S. can stop fucking with oil countries?

Because oil companies (OPEC, BP, Texaco, Mobil, Exxon, Shell etc.) control all the shit. Alternative fuels have been around since the '50's, but oil companies have paid the producers zillions not to put the shit on the market because their busnesses are built on oil thus creating zillion dollars in profits each year. Gov't turns a blind eye to this shit. Fuck Uncle Sam's way of thinking. IMO.

This. That's why the brother Lonnie Johnson is having a hard time getting his inventions out.

Bad idea but a good We don't need more pollution and creating more oil and gas causes that. If he invented something that turned it into clean energy or a better way to produce solar and wind technology then I would be all for it.
