Federal agents in San Antonio have arrested a man wanted in an investigation targeting members of a rap label accused of trafficking Ecstasy around the country.
Mikel Brown, who was arrested here on Tuesday, is among 25 people, including the CEO and numerous rappers associated with Thizz Entertainment, founded by slain Vallejo, Calif., rapper Mac Dre, charged with distributing Ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and codeine cough syrup across California's Bay area.
The head of the organization, Michael Lott, 47, of Vallejo, who raps under the name “Miami the Most,” remains on the lam, along with eight others.
Agents seized about 45,000 Ecstasy pills, 4 pounds of crack cocaine, a half pound of heroin and $200,000 in suspected drug profits, the Contra Costa (Calif.) Times reported.
Brown appeared in federal court in San Antonio this week on a federal indictment filed in California, and was ordered held without bond pending his transfer there.
