Caught it last night, I can see why some people would like it but it's too dry for me.
Like Playa Said, Its a unique style of comedy. Like a cynical social awkwardness to it. If your not familiar with Louis CK comedy, prepared to think, or sarcastic by nature, you probably wont get the jokes.
Like when He told his father fuck you. Nah seriously fuck you.
Oh or the iconic episode when he back down from the bully and his date no longer wanted to fuck him after seeing that.
Last night episode was crazy, that nigga went through all that cause he smoked a joint, and just decided it is his daughters life and she would learn better by experience than punishment.

Louie, meanwhile, upped its originally planned seven episodes to eight. As for why there are so few episodes, FX head John Landgraf had an answer:
