Looking for an Investor In the atlanta area

Whats good fam. I have read and re read every thread on this forum about R.E.I. its safe to say that i have alot of book knowledge about the subject. As you know book knowledge can take you along way, but nothing replaces good ol practical experience. I live in the atlanta area and have been looking into this game, as many know this area is a "hot zone" for scams. I have almost pulled the trigger on a few deals that just didnt sit right with me. I'm in search of an Investor in the atlanta area that is willing to help provide a little practical experience, a mentor so to speak. If any one out there can and is willing to help. get in contact with me. Thanks.

1) Attend your local club meetings. Go to www.creonline.com and check out the tab that says real estate clubs. You may still find sharks that prey on new investors and/or inexperienced investors.

2) If your going to choose a mentor, get on that is local and that KNOWS your market. Don't pick one of these guys that makes a living flying around the country giving "FREE" seminars. Don't be scared to invest $1,000+ with a mentor. Just make sure they have a track record. If you find an investor with a track record that is doing what you want to do, ask them if they will be your mentor. You offer your time and effort and in exchange they will provide you with knowledge and experience to get deals done.



3) Consider starting out in wholeselling. That is where I recommend new investors start out.
