A 41-year-old man was killed after he crashed a stolen Honda Civic into a building in Brooklyn on Monday morning, September 8, 2025. The impact of the collision was so severe that it split the car in half.
Incident details:
  • Time and location: The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. near the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Avenue J in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn.

  • Crash: The driver sped south on Flatbush Avenue, lost control, jumped the curb, and slammed into a building. Surveillance video captured the moment of impact.
    • Victim: The 41-year-old driver was ejected from the car and found lying in the roadway. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
    • Aftermath: No other injuries were reported. City building officials inspected the structure the car hit and deemed it safe. The crash left a significant amount of debris scattered across the intersection.

Got what he had coming to him
Don’t take peoples shit. Just because you don’t have shit doesn’t mean you can take someone else
The world is a better place
I felt the same way when I heard about this. Stop taking people's shit. Two things I hate liars and thieves make my blood boil. I got that from outkast

Agreed. In my twenties my crib was broken into twice. My girlfriend was scared to stay the night. I was young so I kept a piece by the bed but a coworker told it was enough to get out of my lease and it was. Years later my car was gutted at another place i had. That said, I believe thieves and vandals deserve to die outside of stealing bread to eat. But if you kick a door in or steal a car, the cops should be able to kill you. A lawyer friend explained the castle doctrine and how it varies by state and it made me Webay gif. I think if you graffiti someone’s home or business and they catch you, they should able to kill you. There’s a host of people I feel should die on the first offense. Sorry not sorry.

I feel you 100%. My apartment was broken into when I was deployed. As soon as I got back I moved to an apartment in the suburbs. 3 years later, my now ex-wife and I bought a home in the suburb between Cleveland and Akron at the bottom of the housing crisis. I bought the house for $160,000. Now, my house is valued at $406,000 on Zillow and that's not accounting for the solar panels I have on the roof.

Now, living out in the sticks doesn't mean you are completely safe, but you are relatively safe from most break-ins. However, I have a piece upstairs and downstairs that if they want to test me They will be carried by 6.

My soliloquy may be hard for some to swallow
But so is cod liver oil
You went behind my back like Bluto when he cut up Olive Oyl
Two things I hate—liars and thieves; they make my blood boil
Boa constricted, on my soul that they coil

:smh: His dumb ass must have thought he could play GTA 5 in real life. NYC is arguably the worst place to speed or drive reckless. We just don't have the space for it. While having a great many solid structures to crash into.

And streets that aren't made for racing..... you can drive at the speed limit and barely keep control...... then when you speed you fee lthe dips and valleys that are there and lose control....I remember in my younger days traveling about 120mph in my vette on I think the turnpike in NJ..... you don't feel a lot of shit at 65-70 ..... but doing 120mph.... you find out just how uneven roads are... that mofo had to be doing at least 80mph on NYC streets in a car that wasn't built for that

which is why i'm like how is there even enough space and speed for this outcome...
