Were there ever times where you either knew or had a good idea that your complexion would be a plus in a situation??

you know what the hell I'm talkin about to...you light skin mofos with the "good hair" and light eyes walk into a club or bar and know bitches are gonna be on you..

This has been proven hundreds of times that lighter skin people easily gain approval fasted than darker skin people. The situations don't matter much its pretty much across the board.

Hells yeah. Especially in the 80's and 90's. Shit, I felt I had power over dark skinned girls. I literally did not have to try. Shit was just ridiculously easy. Nowadays, dark skinned girls don't fiend for us light skinned dudes like before. I got a coworker that's light skinned too and we were just talking about this the other day.

I have no idea how it is in real life for light skin blacks cuz I'm Wesley Snipes dark and never really cared after probably 9th grade maybe.

I would think there may be a subconscious reaction from certain races, classes and educational backgrounds. It's about pre-judging which happens in many cases other than skin color. A person may look a certain way and we may instinctively pre-judge that person until their words, actions or personalities prove otherwise, win us over and change our minds.

Some people will stay hung up on that type of stuff until the end of time though. Human nature.
 
Women love us dark skin men. We have an air of masculinity that can't be matched by a lighter skinned brother.

Just treatment. Like anyone else who approaches you based on looks, they think you're going to be like.......... whatever they imagine you to be. Stuck up. Thinking i'm better than everyone else. Automatically disliking me because of my looks when i had a crush on them. Or in 1 case her boyfriend liking me and her for some reason thinking i wanted him because i was the type of girl he liked. And her not knowing i liked her. And she said mean things to me.

When you're lightskinned, afrolatin. You're picked on by the dark skinned girls. So i don't see it as an advantage. I always saw it more as a hindrance. Especially when the people you love and want to be with, want to celebrate with, won't accept you.

I see where he's coming from. I've known light skinned guys, and my wife herself doesn't like light skinned men because of the idea that light skinned men..MAY BE soft. And i've seen guys step to light skinned guys and it's always used as an insult.

Maybe you were just lucky enough to avoid it?

If Wesley color is a 10 then I'm a 8. It was 9th grade when the lightskin chicks began sticking for me based on my color. Shit continued thru high school color and life.

Here is a crazy situation that started for me when I started to close in on 30.

A shitload of swirls/hybrids/mixed babies, children and teenagers would come to me in public. By the time I turned 40 I was like the adopted daddy and granddaddy for countless stranger swirls.

I have had several swirls tell me that I look like the black dad or granddad they fantasized about.

Some folks like lightskin. Some folks like darkskin. Color/hue/saturation should be a preference and not a sickness.

if there was a chick with a boyfriend that you wanted to fuck with and she didn't like you, it seems like you being lightskinned would have to be, at best, 3rd on her list of reasons not to fuck with you.

after high school (i.e., after the the threat of being "picked on" dries up) i don't really see that shit being a negative for women. if you tellin me bitches was turnin you down because you were lightskinned, that would be the first i've ever heard of such. especially since i heard you're pretty attractive.
