This is a very sensitive subject for Black women, whether they want to admit it or not. You should've known you wouldn't get any response. But I guess it's better than the SOL alternative which is "not ME".

Yeah this is a sensitive topic for black women but they should realize that black men only care about one color.

^^ femme, some men know that its sensitive issue for women and use that to take advantage of black women.

For instance, if she's light-skinned, they may play that black conscious thing to make feel bad about themselves (especially if he's blacker in skin complexion) and if the women are darker, they'll play some bullshit to make the woman feel inferior and have her think that she's not gonna get a better man than him so she should settle for him.

Bottom line - be comfortable with who you are and you'll attract the right man (i.e. think/act like Michelle & you'll get your Obama)
