Liangelo Ball Draft Workout

I know I'm going to get attacked for saying this but, this is some sad shit.

Young brother could have went to UCLA for 4 years, worked on his craft and if the NBA didn't work out he still has a 4 year degree. Now he's fucked.

Now it's the youngest kids (LaMelo) turn to overcome the obstacles placed in front of him by his father. I understand this is the kid who might have some real talent. The high school to College to the NBA path is the known path that works. Since he was pulled out of high school, he will have to find a way through his fathers JBA, the G League, or play overseas

OH I forgot Lavar is a marketing genius. :hmm:

How will this young man ever go back to college and afford it? His family is clearly broke.

Is not like the family is poor
He will be alright

Y'all keep forgetting sequence. Gelo fu(ked himself, Lithuania was an attempted damage control. LaVar got his sorry as in UCLA with promises of Melo attending, Gelo stole and got suspended indefinitely when he originally was suppose to be a 1 and done (obviously no, he's the worst of the bros). Can't be 1 and done if you don't play, and when coaches told LaVar Gelo won't play, he tried to run and get him a spot overseas without having to go thru the rigamoro of actually qualifying...LaVar actually even got him workouts without making the Combine and he's probably gonna get him into the G League. They made money Overseas, Lonzo's contract, Melo's future contract, swindling people with BBB, etc. Gelo will be alright without college and Melo will be a true 1 and done in 2020.

Obviously you are right. Stayed at UCLA, got better each year, worked toward degree, grown as a man, stayed in front of NBA eyes and down road, NBA or Europe professional.

Now.....?????????? SMH. Hope things work out for him.

^^^^^^^^. Glad know that Melo is SOOOO good that folks are assuming he is a 1 and done, multi mullion dollar NBA player. Glad to know that.

Glad to know that he is as good as or better than the other players in that group. Based on youtube clips when he was in the 10th grade.

It was a miracle he was at UCLA
He isn't good at basketball I doubt he'd been there 4 years even 2 he wasn't getting any run when he was there

Not by me you won't. I never thought pops was going to be good for the kids in the long run but I was openminded. Now, it seems he's scuttled damn near all of them.

I’m never going to attack people that preach the truth.

Look man, Melo is in tournaments, JBA, overseas experience against grown men, and rivaled against Zion Williamson and Shareef O'Neal...I don't like the kids personality but he balls out when the game is on. He has had a promise letter to UCLA since he was 16. Barring injury, I don't see why he couldn't be 1 and done because there are a couple of them out there in the same vein. Not a fan of everything LaVar says and his methods are unconventional/illogical but the results are not bad. I don't wish failure on the guy nor do I ignore the family's achievement by measuring them by conventional methods

The little brother is nicer than this one... It will be interesting to see where this all goes....

I've always said the youngest one had the highest potential and the most to lose if the middle brother doesn't pan out. I felt he should have got the fuck away from his dad and went to college somewhere else.

Just because the formula worked for one son doesn't mean it will work for the other two.

The Kid fucked up in China stealing shit. The situation was resolved and he was suspended indefinitely.
It turns out that the suspension would have been for one year.

Going into the 2018/19 season he will have a year of education under his belt and be a whole lot wiser,

Sometimes patience is the answer. :dunno:

Chino Hills Mansion

Fleet of cars the kids drive (Lambo, Ferrari, Bentley, and more)

Family owned business providing entrepreneurial skills for the kids

Hit reality show on Facebook going into it's 3rd season

Yeah Lavar really fucked up his kids lives man...

Worst comes to worst the kid plays in the G-league or goes back overseas. Or he goes back to college and gets 100% focused on education (No basketball distractions/limits to what he can major in due to basketball schedule)

If he was a school type kid, I'm banking on he's a 'ball is all I know' type kid who got a athletic scholarship because of his father's networking and the success of his older brother. But hey, what do I know. Btw, college no longer is the blueprint to make you successful in life, entreprenuership is the new success route. College is good if you have scholarships and grants but its a debt pitfall if you don't, even if you are studying to be a doctor.

The red part is the whole problem with the Ball family.
The 2 younger Ball brothers are not trying to get into the NBA... when they are ready. :smh:
The 2 younger Ball brothers are waay too caught up in being a 'one & done' draft pick, like Lonzo.

Reaching the NBA isn't their goal. :smh:
Reaching the NBA.... 'as quick as possible'... is their actual goal.

And not having the right ("I'm not going to enter the NBA draft until I am actually ready") type of attitude is what will probably trip up the youngest brother ALSO, so I wouldn't be surprised if Lamelo doesn't get drafted either.

Because NOT everyone is 'one & done' material. :smh: Some folks NEED 2, 3, or 4 years of college ball.
But they cannot accept that. Or admit it. :smh:

He wasn't going to start for UCLA

His release is pretty shitty. First time really seeing him shoot. It's low and part of his upper body is going backwards and his legs forward.

He should play football or just live off the family name and do commercials lol

UCLA didn't even want that kid he was never going to start or play. They signed him because they wanted the younger brother who has recently grown another 3 inches. The younger brother is going to be a top 5 draft pick guaranteed no matter how much some of y'all hate(hnic). Gelo should simply focus on being a part of the family business and Ballin overseas

Being 'not ready' has never stopped a NBA team from sinking their teeth into a prospect 'foolish' enough to declare too early. Most of the recent draft honestly are not ready. So him not getting drafted while on this path is a joke, barring injury or drugs. Now will he be great? thats to be seen... Gelo, was trying to rush to be drafted because he didn't want to expose (by playing years in the NCAA) that he's really no good and that he needs his brothers to constantly feed him since he can't create. You are right some players need lots of college years to be there best, most HOFers didn't and that who they aspire to be like.

It was a miracle he was at UCLA

Only reason he was there was so Lonzo would commit there, I think they had some kind of package deal where all 3 Ball boys would go to UCLA. I don't think that the youngest will be allowed to play college ball because he has a shoe out on BBB

He's not eligible to play college ball anymore since he played professionally.

UCLA already had Lonzo ball but they really wanted the youngest brother. lavar being the good dad he is made sure they took his middle son too in order to get the youngest

Being 'not ready' has never stopped an NBA team from sinking their teeth into a 'foolish prospect'... but it damn sure has stopped countless athletes from even making it into the league, in the first place.

In 2018, over 236 players this year alone declared themselves eligible for the NBA draft.
http://pr.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2018/04/2018-Early-Entry-Candidates.pdf

But the NBA only drafts 60 players every year.

The list of players who 'declared too early' and never even got drafted........ is waaaayyyyy longer........ than the list of NBA teams who drafted a 'foolish prospect' who declared too early.

And the 2 younger Ball brothers fall under the 1st category, in my opinion.

That's the whole point I was trying to make.
