NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Long Island man is facing charges for allegedly selling hundreds of thousands of counterfeit Nintendo products on Amazon authorities announced Thursday.
Isaac Lapidus, 34, was charged with trademark counterfeiting and conspiracy after an investigation traced the fake merchandise to an Island Park warehouse.
According to Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly, between October 2018 and September 2025, Lapidus used five different Amazon seller accounts to sell more than 200,000 imitation Nintendo Switch docking stations, 10,000 Switch Dock adapters and approximately 15,705 counterfeit Pokémon Go Plus accessories.
Amazon and Nintendo initiated the investigation, which led to a search warrant at the Island Park warehouse on Sept. 2, where detectives found 46 boxes of fake Nintendo products.
After identifying the suspected counterfeit products, Amazon flagged the accounts and prevented any additional sales, officials said.
Lapidus, who pleaded not guilty, could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
