Also, I think we're seeing why the Yankees have so much trouble
with pitching. Torre micro manages his staff too much. Too worried
about pitch counts and shit like that. I'm watching Aaron Smalls mow
down batter after batter and this guy takes him out to start the 8th.
Did the same thing with Shawn Chacon yesterday. They're always so
worried about wearing Gordon and Mariano down from too much
work, but when they get a good start, they get scared to use the guy.
He's a pitcher, let that mutha fukka pitch. If it takes 130 pitches, what's
the big deal?? He ain't gotta pitch for 5 more days. I know these guys
make alot of money and the Yanks want to protect their investment,
but every one of these pitchers is getting hurt already, so they might as
well let the ptichers cut loose. If Johnson wants to throw 130 pitches,
he's shown his arm can stand up to that throughout the years. Let him
do it. Torre manages his pitchers like a pussy. Now I hear Pavano is
OUT for another 6 weeks.....I don't think anyone wants to pitch for the
guy.
