Blackness is a mindset. A mindset that understands that by virtue of the birthright of having Black skin, one has been victimized because of such within a white supremacist global values system. There is no in-between usage of being Black when convienant.

Kamala Harris is not a Black American, she has no lineage ties to Black American women and is not considered such by them. You can call her Black Jamaican if thats such a thing. She should be advertised as a Jamaican American or Indian American. And placing her with Black American icons is disrespectful and will be called out at every turn. All she has to do is stay true to her roots and story and she wont have any issues.

Many of our brothers and sisters are black on the outside but have a white mind. One of the things they said when Obama ran the first time was that he was selected before he was elected. They had to find someone that they could see a lot of themselves in him and he did not speak with a negro dialect. But the real choice is weather we will ever get our true identity and our true history back.
