LEBRON MIGHT TAKE SERIOUS HEAT FOR THIS

Laws are laws, but c'mon...0.02 oz for a possible 10 years. Get the entire fuck outta here. Damn shame top WNBA talent can't earn a living off their talent. Guess I need to dry clean my cape for Shakira Austin
Did any of those other people locked up get compared directly to LeBron? Because that's what that WNBA head coach broad did....the only reason he said anything is because she said "If it was LeBron he would be home".

Yep 100% facts.

It was just a matter of time before he would have to comment on that statement that dumb ass coach made.

cats think being famous comes with some kind of power. the people who got power are people the general population would never know if they passed them on the street. trump probably the only celebrity I can think of that pulled real power. everybody else just entertainers

Lebron does far more good than bad. So he has earned the right to have missteps. This was one.

Brother doesnt understand geopolitics, war games, or international relations. This shit cant be done overnight. Does he expect Biden to send John Rambo over there to smuggle out a 6'9" basketball bitch and start WWIII in the process?

L over here like

Shoulda stayed here in the states

I'm good

NBA star LeBron James questioned if WNBA star Brittney Griner should return to the United States whenever she is released from her incarceration in Russia.

The Los Angeles Lakers star made the comment about the Phoenix Mercury star in a trailer for his show, The Shop, which is scheduled to air on Friday on Uninterrupted's YouTube channel.

"Now, how can she feel like America has her back?" James said. "I would be feeling like, 'Do I even want to go back to America?'"

Interestingly, Phoenix Mercury coach Vanessa Nygaard recently wondered if Griner's situation in Russia would be resolved already if it were James, not Griner that was detained.

"If it was LeBron, he'd be home, right?" Nygaard asked. "It's a statement about the value of women. It's a statement about the value of a black person. It's a statement about the value of a gay person. All of those things. We know it, and so that's what hurts a little more."

the Lebron statement was really silly, sure she is right, but her argument shouldve been

against economic injustice.. not turn it, into a womens rights issue, thats that divisive

femenist delusion that keeps men at odds with our women when we should both be working

together for economic rights...

If she was mega balling like Lebron and making nike billions and herself a billy in the process of course she would be out, but what the fuck

does that have to do with gender??

First things first: People make it sound like she just got arrested for being American or black or gay, that bitch BROKE the LAW in a foreign country! That's some nightmare shit. When you are in a foreign country, you need to keep your fucking nose clean. That shit ain't Cleveland! That dumbass when through customs.....in Russia.....with drugs. Fucking DUMB.

Next thing: Why is this coach comparing Brittney Griner to LaBron James!?! Yes, she is a perennial all-star and all-league performer, but I'm sure that she is not even in the arguement for one of the best that's ever done it. Not even close! She might be a top 30 all time great womans player! A better comp would be John Wall and John Wall's ass would still be in jail.

Mannn fuck all that bullshit. If either one of you negroes was dumbass enough to go over to Russia or any other foreign country with strict laws carrying a bag of dope, and they locked you up. You would just be another story in the next episode of Locked Up Abroad. I have zero sympathy for her... Save that energy for someone who was actually innocent and not of celebrity status.

My only thing is...she's made that trip multiple times so either she's done this before and it wasn't a problem until Ukraine was heating up, or she uses it a lot at home and got sloppy.

She had to know it wasn't allowed, I think she's played overseas like 7 years or something. Interesting also that nobody else got hemmed up but the star player.

LeBron James clarifies comments on Brittney Griner's detainment in Russia

In a trailer for the latest episode of his HBO show "The Shop," LeBron James said if he were in Brittney Griner's situation, he would have doubts about wanting to return to the U.S. after being a detainee in Russia.

"Over 110 days, now how could she feel like America has her back?" James said. "I would be feeling like, 'Do I even want to go back to America?'"
Last month, the Los Angles Lakers star shared a Twitter post demanding that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris do what they can to bring Griner back home.

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day.
Griner has been incarcerated in Russia since Feb. 17 after law enforcement arrested her at an airport outside of Moscow due to possession of vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her bag. Griner has since pleaded guilty to the charges and sent a handwritten letter to the White House.
Griner arrives for a court appearance on July 7, 2022.

As is often the case, James' celebrity status and large following on social media led to a variety of interpretations of his comments, with some categorizing them as anti-American.

On Tuesday night, James responded with a clarification -- saying he "wasn't knocking our beautiful country."
His focus, James said, was on how Griner must be feeling after being detained for over 100 days in a foreign country.
"Long story short," James concluded, "#BringHerHome."
My comments on “The Shop” regarding Brittney Griner wasn’t knocking our beautiful country. I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days! Long story short #BringHerHome

Damnn that broad pulled every card she could think of

I'm trying to leave the United States but they keep toying with me. I'm going to make an attempt to escape next year.

I don't find it pleasurable to have to engage in racial cannibalism to survive in the United States such as promoting contract manufacturer products, mass incarceration through dog whistling, cop propaganda, or other bullshit. Some people respond to economic stress by engaging in this behavior, I would rather just die. In Russia, you wouldn't have this pressure to engage in this conduct.

It seems there is a strategy, to only showcase us engaging in some type of self destructive/racial cannibalism type of behavior. I have seen the same pattern with all the black oligarchy. These people are shown as success stories to us, If you are not engaging in this type of conduct, they will fight like hell to block you out. This is why I want to check out of the hotel U.S.

We need to point this out internationally, to undermine these tactics, and correctly image brand the U.S. as a depraved entity that is not inclusive. This is what would have been in store for Russians if they were to become part of Ukraine with Nazis running.

I might write a thread about this self destructive/operant conditioning that is being used against us. I am hoping for new political leadership that wasn't around during its heyday after Civil Rights and this was used as a coping mechanism to deal with empowered minority groups. It is being used heavily now which has adversely affected me greatly after waning a little bit.

If you can find a country that isn't using these tactics you are far better off. For Russia it was a national security threat having that many ethnic Russians being subject to this operant conditioning, flooding back into Russia promoting EU manufactured products over homegrown and engaging in all kinds of self destructive behaviors.

Always trying to spin and twist peoples words.

How Biden handled the situation in regards to her release is why he questions how she must feel to return home after Biden negotiated the conditions for her release. Since Russia is supposed to be this bad guy people think you should fight for her innocence and release, instead of capitulating to the guilty plea. She returns home but with the shame and tarnish of being seen as guilty in front of the whole world. Hence the question how do you return home.

There is no way that comment should have been taken as literally, “she shouldn’t come home”. No one likes sense just drama and gossip.

Poor choice of words by LeBron. She's imprisoned in Russia not Sweden(ala Asap Rocky). Putin will let this fester for as long as he chooses. There is another American in prison on bogus charges as well and he's been waiting 4-5 years for his release.
